Swol and Boone's Quest To Get Hyooooge

leaving the 16th but they're packing all my stuff the 14th so I have a couple days of empty house ha. What about you?

I'm actually not anymore. Myokemist and I came to the conclusion it would be best I stayed up here in the northeast because I'm actually doing pretty well in sales. Much better than i had expected but it doesn't make sense to take me out of my market when I'm making lots headway on different accounts and actually getting better at it

Weight: 152.8

Chest / Shoulders

6x Lateral DB Raise > Smith Shoulder Press (Explosive Focus)

Worked up to 1RM on bench: 235x1, clean but wasn't going higher

Hammer Press:
45x12
55x12
65x10 x10
Challenge set: 45x37!!!

3x12 DB Arnold Press > 3x10 Heavy Lateral DB Raise

3x10 Incline DB Fly > 3x10 Incline DB Press
^ really was a difficult super set, The stretch in the fly’s gave me a crazy pump.

Finished off with some core, mainly obliques today.

Last couple days have been home workouts just to fit my schedule and for some ease. Xmas day was a nice pull hyper session that had me nicely pumped for a good part of the day. Not sure what exactly did it but I just had more of a full body pump then I usually do.

Yesterday was legs power but it's my deload week so it was nothing special. Worked up to 275 for sets of 5 and tried out my new compression pants which felt nice. Followed up with rdl's and then leg curls and extensions on my ghetto old bench combo thing ha. Wasn't feeling like I particularly stunned my legs so as a finisher I did a single max set of squats at 135. Hit 46 reps and then the legs were done ha.

Going downtown to the strip district which is all the little cultural food shops and such for some breakfast then maybe push day this afternoon if there's time before dinner at the gf's moms. If not oh well.

Makes perfect sense! Keep grindin swol!

46 !? lol i got 35 after my PR and almost vomited

That top 10 list is a joke. No Controlled Labs? No NOW? No MuscleTech who has ruled the supplement market for decades or Universal/Animal? lol at JYM, brb taking more pixie sticks post-workout.

I was psyched. Took a few deep breaths during the set but never even fully straightened my legs. It felt amazing and made the whole rest of the workout worth it.

Strongly disagree with your statement. Neither of those brands released anything all that noteworthy in 2014. I like controlled labs and muscletech but its not "of all time" it was of 2014. I mean does Stimino really warrant noteworthy attention? I dont think so

Jym produced a great multi, a great pre, and an awesome test booster. IMO his test booster is the best on the market.

All of this.

Go compare the sales for the top 10 companies to the companies left out. Then we will see who is the top companies of 2014.

Muscle Elements? Yeah... about that.
Muscle Meds? I dont think so
Purus labs is ok
Chaos and Pain.. not so much
Jym is overpriced and you could buy 2 of a product of equal or better value for the same price, like his protein. I can get a few tubs of select for the price of one of his bags.

So last night I was expecting to spend the night running around to various houses and seeing xmas lights and such. Hadn't eaten all day so i was dreading the dinner at my gf's moms as a) she can't cook and b) I knew there wouldn't be enough food to cover my calories... I was whining to the gf about how I was gonna have to eat like 1000kcals when we got home at midnight ha.

Well... We get out there and to my complete surprise all my friends and family were there for a surprise going away party for me. It was especially awesome because I've been so busy with work travel and then holidays that I hadn't seen most of my friends in months. And the food... So much. 2 sandwich rings (one turkey one italian), 6lb of boneless wings (hot, bbq, and just plain breaded), homemade meatballs (gf's 100% italian gram), homemade enchiladas (my moms), Brussels sprout salad, 6 types of cookies, cheeses, pretzels, and to top it all off a cookies and creme oreo ice cream cake! I have no clue how many calories I ate but I can guarantee it wasn't under my needed amount ha. Everything was so good.

Then we just sat around smoked cigars, and had a pumking beer (on tap) while we watched the Penguins game in the cigar room they have at their house. Just an awesome night.

Now to use all that cake for some deadlifts ;)

Going to try eating less frequently going forward. I feel like my digestion with too many meals is to hard to get it down. The only time I've been truly hungry for a large meal is post workout (usually 700-800 cals) then 2 hours later 400 cals and another two hours 400 cals. Might just make my post workout meal about 1,000-1,100 calories then dinner around 500. Keep intra, breakfast, and nighttime snack the same

Just thinking out loud lol

How often you eating?

This.

I have five meals, with around 60% backloaded after my workout. Obviously whatever is convenient and allows you to get all your macros for the day is what you should work with!

Doing 10 meals/day now. Smaller meals obviously and about every 1.5-2hrs and digestion has been way better. Add in the chicken being cooked in the pressure cooker has been money. Eating 5k cals is a breeze now

Pressure cooker keep the chicken moist? I've been using a crockpot and cooking 5lbs at a time, with chicken broth. Dry chicken is hard as hell to choke down

I just cook the chicken in the oven. Use a lower temp. Takes a lot longer but keeps chicken nice and full and doesn't dry it out at all. Notice a huge difference when using about ~350 degrees.

Yup. Bout to get mine preheating in a min. Never dry.

I was trying smaller meals, about 7 but after my post workout meal the next three I would be too full and bloated and it was like a chore to eat

Being sick today doesn't help either. Drank most of my calories and just have no appetite. Still gonna fall short. Taking tomorrow off for sure to rest up

Yep. Pressure cooker is like a crock pot on steroids lol. Flavor wise, I think crock pot is superior but pressure cooker has treated me well

This... Cover with foil helps keep moisture in as well
When you are done cooking the chicken turn off the oven and keeps the moisture on the inside of the pan and under the foil
Works like a charm :)

Another tip. Let chicken soak in salt water for 30 minutes prior to cooking. Try it and get back to me.

This guy knows
Sit in water, season, then cook in oven = Perfect and lasts in the fridge for a good 3 days ( i am real picky with storing food i fear food poisoning after getting it when traveling so much and cooking in bulk)

Ive bulk cooked chicken for 6-7 days and had no problems; however that is the longest i will store it!

Bulk cooking isn't an issue if you dry it out and eat it like jerky haha. I've had think sliced chicken cooked for like two weeks before.

F that. 3-4 days max for me and that's even pushing it.

Hey swol, just ordered magnitropin! :)

Directions say take 6 days with one day off. Would it merit me better since my workout split is 2 days on 1 day off to take on training days only?

Nice man!

Yeah that works. It just makes it last longer. The raws are ridiculously expensive to get the dose you need and if we provided more it would be stupid expensive.

I take 2 days off and only take it on workout days since my rest days are lower calorie and carb and I stilled gained 14 lbs lol. I just restarted yesterday

Exactly
not taking the risk on getting sick eating food that has been bulk cooked for too long.
Not only do i not want to be pooping my brains out. I do not want my insides to feel awful, and this time of the year getting sick = longer recovery due to horrible weather and colder than dirt.

I don't even know what getting sick is. I literally haven't even had a cold in like years and I'm the complete anti-germaphobe. Eat off the floor, bulk cook forever, all the other gross things you can think of ha. My theory is that I get lots of little amounts of the bad stuff and let me body build up an immunity before I can actually get sick. Probably total bro science but it seems to work for me ha.

I kind of follow the idea of letting your body fight its own battles to keep a strong immune system.

I only go to a doctor as a last resort, don't get flu shots, and hell don't even take anything for a headache.

Never get sick, not even growing up in a house full of the flu passed around my family but never to me.

That being said I do practise food safety, expiry dates, cooking meats sufficiently, disinfecting kitchen surfaces. Because food poisoning sucks.
