bummer all around. It was pretty chilly the last few days but it was prob 60 here today
 
Had a nice little push deload day at my home gym today. Decided to keep it in house so I could save a few min and get more stuff done around the house after. Workout was pretty simple:
Standing low cable rows 4x10
Lat pull downs 4x10
Cable rows 4x10
Meadows rows 4x10
Rear delt fly 4x10
Bb wide grip rows fst-7

Just went for light weight, fast pace, and good pump/squeeze.

Tomorrow start my 3 1rm days. Gonna shoot for pr's on all 3 of my current starter lifts:
Squat: 315 (295 last time)
Deadlift: 315 (300)
OHP: 170 (155x2)

Might try bench too if I'm feeling good. Maybe even throw it in early sat morn or something in its own since it's not one of my current main lifts.
 
i do something similar boone, preceding my heavy leg day is a shorter bout 45-60 minute pump workout for arms and weakpoints. not very intense, but won't hinder me for heavy leg day

Yep i just get a nice blood flow/pump and make sure to stay away from any big compound moves that would tax something I plan to use the next day.

i've had some awesome food this rest day my god. coming up is Baked Fettucine Noodles with ground chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, and peppers. All topped with some pizza sauce. Mucho garlic added too :)
 
Solid dentist appt and then picked up some pumpkin pie pop tarts and candy cane Hershey kisses for the gf (to trade for cereal ha). The little mini shop have my pre a minute to kick in. Did one cap of uncut (first time trying it) with one scoop of pump xtrem (promera). I don't get crazy pumps from it but enjoy the beta alanine.

Honestly didn't notice much if anything from just one cap of uncut so I'll prob try two tomorrow.

Main lift was squats. Worked up to 225 and then started singles. 225/245/265/275/285/295/305/310/315(pr I wanted)/320-failed

I was a bit squeezed for time so I rushed a couple sets, especially the 320. Had I taken a good 3-4min I prob could've hit it but I was happy at 315 and impatient due to the time crunch. Also I think I mentally checked out after hitting 315 so next time (like I always have before) I'm not setting a target.

Banged out the rest of my leg day and waddled back to my truck. Overall a good lift and happy with the pr. According to my notes, I've hit 315 before but I know there's no way I was anywhere near parallel and today was about as deep as I could go. Coming out of the hole was a bit of a grunt and grind but once I got moving I popped right up.

OHP is tomorrow's push 1rm. Gonna be tight on time again so I might focus mostly on the OHP and then superset some of the others to crunch the time.

It's that initial half second once hitting the hole on a PR that feels like death, but you did it bro! Good job ;)

For the uncut, I've gone up to 4 -then again I'm a bit of a stim junkie. 3 might do you solid, but again work your way up. I also found that 2 uncut + 2 caps of bronkaid really hit the spot. I used to use that a lot for fasted AM training.

Damn two bronkaid... When I was totally Stimmed out during my cut in summer I prob could've done that but def wouldn't right now. I handle 300mg caffeine pretty well now but over the summer I could take a bronkaid, 400mg caffiene, and some Stimmed fat burners and then go for a nap. Taking an 8 week stim break set me back to normal but I've been working up.

I've never tried uncut until today so I'm excited to try more as I've heard so many good things.
 
As for the uncut, I was doing two caps (uncapped) + hemavol and really liked it.

There actually is a little hemavol I dumped into the pump extreme ha. Makes the flavor even better (blue pom)! I never noticed a ton of pumps from hemavol tho so I wasn't really impressed even at 2 scoops. Wouldn't buy it again.

Very excited to try out the new HV and Conq3r though. Both look great. Just got my tubs of HV yesterday but don't wanna use it on my 1rm days and then I'd have to take it with me traveling next week+. might have to baggy up a few scoops though cuz I cant resist.

I think hemavol is the best non-stim out. I did one scoop with 16oz water and would get stupid pumped. Although, I would like to give PES new High Volume a shot to compare.

I'm sure those little baggies filled with powder might get you flagged lol

Had an absolutely awesome full upper workout yesterday. Hit a pause bench PR pretty easy and felt very "explosive" to to speak. I'm still dabbling with my routine and may change to a 3 on 1 off approach going forward to get more rest days in, but going to ride this out a bit longer.

Yesterday's push day went spectacular.

Was able to bang out 175 for strict OHP and prob could've gotten 180 with a little leg help but decided to keep it strict. New PR by 10lb.

Rest of the workout felt really good as well. Manged to get everything in under an hour and get home in time. Only bad thing was during skull crushers I had some tendon issues again (used to have these all the time) in my right hand. I get this weird thing where the tendons in my lower palm/wrist area feel really strained and hurt like hell. Usually I can just change my grip a bit and I get things straight but yesterday I totally blew my last set from these. Hoping it doesn't become a recurring issue again.

Anyone experienced anything like this before?

Tried the sugar cookie toast crunch last night too... Its good, not great, def not as good as OG cinn toast crunch. It's basically powdered sugar insead of cinn/sugar on the little crispy squares. I'm really excited to try the holiday sugar cookie crisp but am gonna wait til I get back from travel to open it so it doesnt get stale. Still waiting to get my candy corn fruity pebbles from my mom too ha. She's been treatening to eat them all if I dont pick them up soon.
 
You do not use straps or a belt?

au natural. only thing I use are gloves and those are on the whole time.

occasionally I will use straps but for the most part my journal and water are all carry. I'm not gonna be the guy dragging a whole bag of toys around with me. Never once used a belt before. I feel like its a crutch and that if you're weak in your lower back you should work to build it up rather then just support it.

phones are just too big to pocket for music. baby ipod is where its at.

I have a bad wrist, old injury that didn't heal properly. And it gives me constant trouble with certain grips. Sometimes just the position on the bar change works it out. Wider, closer, depends on the exercise. I mostly put it somewhere in the back of my mind and push on. Hope you don't have to start doing that!!

gracias senor. was pretty happy. decided to try 3 on 1 off just to get an extra rest day in. let's see how it all goes, legs on deck and just had my pumpkin pie poptart... The Solution they're incredible. might be my favorite, but have yet to try sugar cookie yet

Still my number one flavor. Gbread was good but def not better. Had the sugar cookie last year but don't remember where it fell on the rating scale. Def good but I think it was basically the same as the bday cake/ confetti cupcake flavors

Belts are more for abdominal support, they can help with low back, but if you cannot learn to keep a firm chest during your squat and deadlift and prevent your back from folding in half there would be a major form issue lol.

I have a small bag that straps aronud my shoudlers with Versa Grippa, inzer Belt, and in the front pouch i put my keys and have a ton of supplement samples if anyone wants them. about it. and it takes up very little room.
 
I carry around a "bag of toys" because I do things safe and correctly to the best of my ability. My powerlifting shoes don't touch anything but the gym floor. My belt, knee sleeves, all my wraps, my chalk, nose York, water, protein shake for after, journal, headphones, straps, extra MP3 player and several other things.

I don't feel like anything is a crutch because I know how strong I am without them. I train using the things I wear/use to compete. Plain and simple.

A belt is mainly to enhance the valsalva maneuver. It might help brace your back a little and let's you brace your core against the belt, but those are really secondary purposes.
 
Pull 1rm day yesterday... Was surprised to see there were 3 other ppl in my gym which annoyed me because I wanted to hustle but of course they were in the way. The two bros did the classic bench, curl, abs workout but managed to take up like half the gym. Clowns. Ironically enough, the other guy who was out of shape and pretty rough looking did a really nice back workout with everything but deads ha. Only thing is he was using half the stuff I wanted to do I had to wait and shuffle stuff a lot. Really tho it was all about deads for me so...
Maxed at 325. Woo 10lb pr for me. I actually stopped before trying 330 due to time and the fact that my form at 325 was a bit shaky/suspect so I just held up. 315 was butter tho and that had been my goal.

Overall I managed to hit all my targets and actually beat two. Very happy.

On my way to a wedding today in cinci for some cousin of my step bros I barely know (bs). Was up til 3am painting my bedroom as I try to get ready to sell the house. Life is a nightmare right now due to all the stuff I have to do to get ready to move. Gonna be in LA all week for work this week and then up to psu next weekend for some tailgating and fun. Planning to get super drunk next sat and eat awesome tailgate food all day.

Topped out the scale last night after all my food at 202.1lb... A bit higher then I'd like but it's whatever. I have too much going on right now to be worried about staying super lean. I can still flex and see all top 4 abs so it's nothing terrible. Prob sitting around 14% bf.
