Switched to cyp... where has libido gone?

2 weeks ago I switched from transdermal test to cyp 100mg/week and found libido has dropped off big time. No morning wood. While on gel, DHT was 148 (25-75 ref), Tot T 484 (25-1000 ref), free T 66 (50-210), estradiol 9 (10-50). Is it possible estradiol jumped up while on cyp? Testing won't be for another 3 weeks. I picked up DIM but wanted opinion first before trying that out. I don't notice any E2 symptoms.

give the cyp some time to kick in...thats a really long esther...should see full results in 5 weeks or so
 
I was doing that the first week. Figured that by end of 2nd week things would be kicking in more than it is. Guess I'll need to give it some more time...
 
Dr. John waits at least a month before serum testing after starting shots. It does take far longer to build in your system. How long were you on gels?
 
it also depends on how often your pinning to get consistant blood levels i had to go to twice a week with my cyp... once a week i still felt the drop offs.

Are you using HCG?

I started pinning test eod subQ, but now I pin test once a week IM and HCG twice between each test shot. Things seem pretty level this way too.. I like it. I still have to take an AI on day of each shot if I want morning wood..for me there's been no way to avoid an AI.

When I switched from gel to test cyp 100mg/week, my doctor front loaded the first dose to 200mg. I felt a big energy boost the next few days. Over subsequent 4 weeks overall energy leveled out to a lower level than what I had experienced with gel/patches. My libido was also really pretty low. It didn't have any symptoms of gyno.

After my 5 shot, had my follow-up labs done. TT went from 368 (patches) to 861, but E2 went from 49 (patches) to 81 (scale of 13-54) on test cyp!

My doctor called in a prescription for Femara (AI). I took 2.5mg 24 hours ago, and libido and feeling of well-being is already returning.

Bottom Line was that when my estrogen went through the roof, and I noticed a significant drop in both motivation and libido.

This sounds like it may be your problem as well. The only bummer is you need to wait 3 weeks to rectify the problem.
 
Totally agree with the E2. Test levels 800-1000 perfect. E2 shoud be 20-25 but E2 isnt the same for everyone. Some are great when its low and some need it on the high side. But if u can get it in the twenties I think you will get your libido back.
