I think I found a groove. I'll have to work on some little things, but this setup felt good, and I think I had good bar speed. You tell me.

That looks perfect big man. The routine to get in position was consistent and you looked locked in...bar speed was popping too. Now lets see how it holds up when you start moving bigger weights.

I'm going to mess around a little on sat with feet back & sliding down like I did today. I'll pick the best/tightest and run with that shizz.

Also going to change it up a bit & train Tuesday, Thursday, Sat & Sun. Since I'm going to start training after work, I want to minimize the sacrifice required of my family in the evenings. Sat & Sun nobody is up until 10 or 11, so nobody will notice I'm not home those days.

So all that said, I'll just hit cardio tomorrow & Friday, and crush me some ME squats on sat.

For those of you who wondered about the refeed weight; I baselined today @ 289, so the rest of the week is gravy fat loss, baby.

Diet coach thoughts; I like Shelby, I really do but if I'm being honest, I much prefer Skip's protocol. I have more energy, my body temp stays higher, and there's a TON less cardio.

That's just me, so it's no reflection on his methods. In fact, he introduced a peri-workout nutrition protocol that I absolutely love, and definitely like it better than Skip's.

Their methodologies are very similar, so it's no night & day difference, and Shelby has been supportive, responsive, and is a freakin nice guy.

Also, mf'ers, I've been supple leopard'ing 3x/day. I'll be a contortionist when I squat beyotchezzzz.

Few notes; tried these with my heels on a 5# plate, unreal world of difference in leg drive, ability to SIT BACK, and overall comfort through the movement. Yo quiero squat shoes.

Then the usual-snatch grip deads, lunges, etc.

Bunch I planks n stuff too. I felt pretty good, but after the ME lift my mind was simply just wandering.

Anybody have ideas on non or low-stim supps to help with focus? I find my mind wandering after about 30-35'.

Caffeine free focus xt is probably your best bet

Looking at it right now.

You young'ns may not recall, but pre-ephedrine ban there was a product called Dymetadrine Xtreme that was straight up unbelievable for focus. When the ban was coming, I bought like 50 bottles of that stuff...I think it lasted me til about '07! :biglaugh:

My focus with uncut is great, I just don't know what he's looking for as far as caffeine amounts.

I think 3 caps is around 400mg, which isn't that bad and is time released but might be higher stim than he wants....
 
I agree on the focus...it doesn't have you bouncing but it definitely dials things in.

I tolerate caffeine pretty well; I do fine up to ~300mg, so that's kind of where I'm at.

DMAA had me so stim'd out I had to leave the gym, go home & take a Xanax.

I've only used it a few times, focus was improved. But I don't know if it compares with uncut.

Uncut being encapsulated would probably help. It would definitely be worth trying.
 
DMAA puts me to sleep for some weird reason.
 
I did a scoop of Enhanced and 1 cap of Uncut the other day....very nice combo
 
Any interest on a deadlift platform construction pic tutorial? I'm going to build one and some pulling blocks today.

I'm on board with the tutorial. I'm tired of my deadlifts rolling away from me or worse yet, rolling in two different directions.
 
It'll have to be tomorrow; I'm about to go into a food coma after my carbohydrate bonanza today.

Finished it off just now with 45 wings from BWW and a large Wendy's Frosty. Ffffuuuuuu.

Love the choices there. I actually only have Enhanced, Uncut, and Origin in my stash of full pre-workout products currently. I probably won't venture outside of the use of those three much at all for quite some time, but interested in how you like both.
