Swanson-Cube Method to July Comp

I think Jim Meadows is training Dave Tate now. He keeps posting on his FB about the workouts and the diet. Should check out their logs on EFS

I believe he has been for a while-I'm pretty sure he was prior to the hip replacement.

Is it in the book? I just skimmed over the exercises and didnt read. Going in today for some weak point work.

Yessir. It's on the heavy chest/shoulder day. P14 of the .pdf. Mix that with the band over & back, curse John Meadows as you lean on **** to try and take the pressure off your delts.

I can understand why BBers lift like they do. It's a riot.

GUNZZZZZZZZZZ
Tricep pressdown SS w/ fixed cambered bar curls.

Decline skullcrushers SS w/DB curls

Dips SS w/hammer curls.

Everything was 4 sets of 12, and shoulder felt great so I did my dips weighted. Sick fatboy pump.

You need a bigger car...

Gotta love arm days. Looking swole and feeling like a million bucks. As opposed to bodybuilding leg days or any power training, where you feel like a million bucks in pennies was dropped on you all at once.

Don't hate on the commuter Honda, man. That bitch cost me $600!

I feel great...I guess I look swole, just mostly in the "belly" area. ;)

Looking forward to legs, because f.ck stairs.

All sets performed using tiny Honda on other end of cable.

I have a Vibe. One of my lesbian friends drives a Challenger. She said my car was awful and like riding inside of a vagina. Apparently I need a manly car. To my credit my dog can crap in the hatch and the car cleans up easy...there must be some manliness in that.

Wouldn't she want to ride in a vagina?

Incommunicado for a week playing in the Cali surf with my 9yr old...great deload. Lol

If it's any consolation, I'm sitting in triple digits again.

There has been a change, but a recent event has fully made my decision for me. Since 2011 I've been battling cardiomyopathy after a mild cardiac event 7/11. Since then I've managed through use of cpap and prescription meds. With no change in cardiac function, I was taken off the meds in 2012 and left with just aspirin and cpap.

On Saturday night I started getting painful peripheral edema in my left leg, accompanied by chest tightness, nausea and shortness of breath. I was taken to ER by ambulance and after all the BS tests they determined it is/was congestive heart failure.

I'll be getting back on some different meds, I've been directed to lose 50+ pounds, eat better, etc. I ran my training protocol and my supps by the cardiologist and she was OK with all of it, so my plan that was in place is good to go.

SO...as of TODAY, we're getting peeled, kids. That's the plan, hope you stick around because I'm about to f.ck this up.

I'm sorry to hear about the ER visit over the weekend, man. I'm glad you're gettin a round turn on it at least. Are they okay with your current diet plan? Do you still intend to compete?

Now go get shredded!!

get better bud, losing weight will go a long way

<---heart attack at 39...

Yeah they think that all the mass with a low ejection fraction is the problem. My heart is only working 50-60% of capacity (roughly, and that depends on the cardiologist), and reducing my mass by 20% will really help.

I'm still in. Get better big guy!

**** I'm tired today, but bet I'm squatting tomorrow!

I've got a GREAT heart doc. She knows my TRT regimen and didn't throw the "steroids are killing you" **** in my face, she's all about letting me train heavy "working out is keeping your heart healthy, not hurting you", and is very knowledgeable about active lifestyles.

Still here and gonna be here til success. Sorry you're going through that, man. Now let's get fit and give your heart a break! Too easy man.

Glad your alright bud. Time to get to 198 ;)

Scary stuff big man. Get things dialed in now and rock this new you!!

Get well soon, boss. Looking forward to seeing a ripped Swanson.

Glad you made it through this event, guy. Anyways, new goals are always fun, and cutting can be fun in its own, torturous way. Get it!
