My digestion just now is very sluggish. Eat something and still taste it if i burp hours later. Also the toilet department has been showing signs of poor absorption (No more details but yehh :D)

I have been adding in Betaine HCL + Pepsin ' A probiotic' Bile salts.

What else is worth trying? Theirs so many ideas but just wondered if anyone suffers the same? I don't really mind the slow digestion buy i want every nutrient out my grub!

Ma Labs's Veda-Gest hands down. I had results in hours but it really builds over daily use.

They have a great write up on their site. Invalid Link Removed

Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar has been shown to aid in digestion along with other benefits such as weight loss.

I take 1 tablespoon twice a day just prior to eating, just make sure you mix it with water as it can eat the enamel off your teeth.

Yup Apple cider vinegar is good
Ginger root is good
Mycogreen and/or Invalid Link Removed by Millenium Sports is nice for this

I’d suggest this also. I haven’t tried it yet, but the profile is excellent, Mike really knows what he’s doing, there’s lots of good reviews already, and the price is pretty good.

I like digestive enzymes + Gentian (500mg) + Ginger Root (700mg standardized for 5% gingerols) before my largest meal.

The gentian, for me, increases appetite quite a bit so something to be weary of

Yep I do this each morning with breakfast. I feel it helps.

Get a food intolerance test done.
There is an underlying issue if your digestion is completely off
no pill or powder will fix that.

I would suggest seeing a local doctor first and addressing the issue before trying to supplement something that may not be worthwhile.

You have most likely built an intolerance to some food sources you consume on the daily causing you to feel sluggish and the way you do. You need to start playing the elimination game and figuring out what it is, get a test done, or see a doctor to diagnose it.

get a good comprehensive digestive enzyme supplement. I used to have severe digestion issues and now take Daily Essential Enzymes from Source Naturals with every meal and have had limited problems since.

You talk as if you can jsut take an allergy test. It doesn't work that way, not unless you have hundreds of dollars to spend on a whim, or insurance that if YOU'RE lucky after a year or two will pay for a test like that. I found out I'm allergic to gluten through trial and error. That's the easiest and cheapest way imo.

These two are more for improved fat and protein ingestion. But check them out!Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

Papaya enzyme is supposed to good

Biocore makes one of the best digestive enzyme formulas. Swanson Carries it solo, but it is the same blend in PES' Symbiont-GI.

I've experienced better success with digestive enzymes than natural digestive aids such as ginger, gentian, artichoke a d other bitters.

I do take a curcumin/berberine product as I find GDA's seem to help with my digestion. Other more comprehensive profiles have helped as well.

Probiotics: I've been experimenting with them over the years. The jury is still out on wether they are actually beneficial, necessary or even harmful, and I would avoid taking any probiotic that has a kitchen sink profile. Find out what strains help specifically with food digestion and work from there. My experience is even though I've used the strains best for my IBS-C and extremely high quity products, I'm not sure I've seen much difference in their use. I will probably continue on and off until I come to my final conclusion, or science makes a better determination on their use.

Now I could go on about the other supplements I take for my digestive disorders, but they mostly pertain to my IBS-C. Just ask of you're curious though.

And as far as doctors go; it's important to get checked out, almost a must but I'm not sure much more needs to be taken unless you have some serious issues and concerns. I have some of the best insurance you can get(not to brag) and I've exhausted my options with most specialist in Philadelphia. I've done just about every test: endoscopy, colonoscopy, anorectal-manometry, allergy testing. None have been conclusive and I've found most doctors try to treat each patient with a same blanket treatment. And/or don't have a great understanding past what is offered in modern medicine. It's as if they treat every digestive disorder the same.
