Supps for energy?

Inb4 everyone now thinks citrulline cushions the comedown off dmaa,
I’d argue that a full dose of citrulline could cushion the comedown from DMAA more than <500mg NALT. Based on the fact that ornithine can potentiate the effects and duration of caffeine at low doses, and the effects of citrulline supplementation on ornithine levels, and the poor bioavailability of NALT and how low the dose is even for the more available l-tyrosine, yes, I’d argue that citrulline would do more than NALT here. ;)

See, here’s the thing, I knew you’d say that, hence why I said exactly what I said.

“I knew you’d say that.” So what is your point then? Yet another claim on your part that is both entirely impossible to substantiate or validate and has no real meaning or value...

You just said it doesn’t matter... but I argue that the research, courtesy of multiple studies on both ingredients, show that it likely matters more than the tiny doses of a poor tyrosine pro-drug. ;)

This is laughably ignorant.

This is laughably ignorant.
There’s an entire review/analysis on l-tyrosine and NALT which references many studies showing that NALT is an inefficient pro-drug for tyrosine, and is ineffective at increasing tyrosine levels relative to tyrosine. Given that 2g is pretty much actually a low dose of the more efficient tyrosine in studies, it’s essentially impossible that less than 1/4 of the lowest studied dose of a much less efficient form of tyrosine is going to have any effect on anything. Conversely, we know that ornithine can potentiate the duration of caffeine’s effects at low doses, and that citrulline supplementation can increase ornithine levels, there is more evidence that properly dosed citrulline would help with stimulant duration than such low doses of NALT. Now, I really don’t think citrulline does much for stimulants, but I KNOW such low doses of NALT don’t, and slight > none. :)
