I think since it's such a potent steroid it'll increase metabolism quite a lot, and even as an oral with less biovability it's dosed very low and still very effective. When the metabolism increases and you're working out and maybe not eating enough food you can get a feeling of low bloodsugar. I don't think carbs is the problem, it's just the easiest way to get bloodsugar back up.
Key is to keep a stable bloodsugar, maybe eating many meals but smaller.
