Dug this up from Mind and Muscle forum ...
This guys is taking >1g Sulbutiamine per day.
What does any one else think. I think serious tolerance threshold. Well yeah that will sure have an effect - on an elephant.
Just to explain this stuff is synthetic B1 - very potent and used to treat chronic fatigue syndrome. AX have it in their Slim Xtreme type products but made it into a slow release forumula. Its one of the things that makes SX so potent and that stuff is potent.
Sulbutiamine has got to tolerence associated with it - I've never noticed it though. It does strange things with dopamine - it seems to partition it around the brain.

.... I weigh approx. 190-195lbs
300mg: Light stimulation, increase in mental energy. Anxio-genesis noted for the first few times taken. Slight increase in visual acuity noted. I would call this dose borderline effective.
600mg: Increase in stimulation. About 20-30 minutes after dosing I notice the effects coming on, and detect dopaminergic action similar to that of a mild dose of nicotine. Mental powers seem to be increased slightly above baseline, but I have a little more trouble concentrating.
900mg: Not much more effective than 600mg. Stimulation is more apparent but all other effects are the same.
600-900mg is a great way to stop fatigue in its tracks. I usually take it before or after an intense MMA session. The head trainer is almost sadistic at times and make us circuit train at the end of lessons to the point that we almost collapse. On days when I take it before hitting the dojo, i notice increased stamina. Tiredness and lethargy afterwards is likewise alleviated by a dosing. This function is where Sulbutiamine really shines IMO. It does this job much better than Caffeine and produces no jitters and no anxio-genesis now that I have been taking it for some time.
I would also recommend it for problem-solving or reading dense material. It helps in processing information but so far I have not noticed any major memory enhancing.
I will probably try 1.2 g soon...
