I am just coming into 10 weeks of a 5x5 workout plan and was wondering what you guys all thought. Should go for another 2 weeks and then switch it up? For switch up not? What is everyone's time limit to switch stuff up.

How are your gains coming? As long as its working, there's no need to change it. You can easily run it for over a year if you'd like

Strength has def increased which has def caused the gains to be substantial. Just wasn't sure if my muscles would become used to it.

How long have you been lifting all together?
If it's only been a short time you'll make great gains for at least a year with proper diet and rest ,but eventually your gains will slow no matter what program your doing and by the time that happens if you've done 5x5 all that time you should be pretty strong which would then be a great time to switch to more bodybuilder /hypertrophy based routine

I would do 5-6 weeks of a higher rep workout say 4 sets of 8-12 reps and then go back to the 5X5. It"ll give your joints a break and have you fresh for another go.

Your gains on any program will be dependent on how close you are to your genetic potential. The closer you are the slower the gains and the more important programming becomes (advanced level).
