Stupid Upset Picks- The continuing thread

Temple +20!!!

Crazy, stupid, idiotic pick, but this is their last chance to get a win this year. Plus, I wanted to be different.
these turned out to be great plays!!! size got 20 points added to his score... DAMN! good call you two. hopefully mine comes through and USC falls. 7-0 in OSU's favor right now!

this thread inspired me to put together a nice parlay with indiana, vanderbilt, ohio, and wake forest. lookin good so far:head:

You dont know how close I came to pick that, but didnt have the balls to do it. Congrats on the upset.

Looks like CED was a bit off...
(I'll root for that OSU, Wanna.)
we all knew it was gonna happen sometime soon. it was just a question of when? looks like they have their hands full with cal, ucla, and notre dame still coming. ill bet they lose 1 more.

and damn, i thought miami had it for a sec. that would have been a huge momentum builder for the canes. their D is still impressive in my eyes but points will win games.

Yeah - if the game ended after the 1st Quarter, we'd be undefeated.

Coker blew it (as usual) with his Chinese fire drill substitutions and stupid play calls. Not onside kicking after we scored the last TD was just beyond stupid.

But - the be-all, end-all was his no challenge on Brandon Merriweather's Interception in the 4th Q.

That was a blatant catch (even the Wisconsin fan I was watching the game with agreed) and Coker likely didn't even know that you can challenge one call a game if you have a timeout (we had one at the time).

This is a good week with all the wins in this thread. TT is making me glad I switched my pick at the moment. So far it's Ohio U, Oregon State, and Temple as the winning picks on here.

Huge day for the OSU schools: Oregon, Oklahoma, and THE Ohio State Univesity.

Rogue, don't feel bad, it is called stupid upset picks after all. My upset picks from last year were terrible and mostly wishful thinking with picking ND and USC nearly every week. I'd be a little more analytical and safe with spread picks if I gambled (I wont let myself). Bucknuts didn't post the scores, that I can see, this week or I'd be able to see where size was placing before today.

Is it only because I'm from Columbus, or is college football just freaking awesome?

Stupid Upset Picks Week 11

Thanks lilkev for the standings and phyrekat at Bucknuts for the picklist.

Every pick I want to make is playing on the road:Oklahoma St, Indiana, and Penn State.

Wisconsin barely survived the powerhouse of Illiniois in Madison last week, so right now my pick is Penn State +7

On Bucknuts, with over 200 participants, size would currently be in first by 1.5 in a top ten ranging from 39-47.

hmmmm.... not many great upset picks this week IMO. the only 2 i like are indiana +4.5 to minnesota and mizzou +6 to nebraska.

ill take indiana this week. theyve won at least 3 games this season when being the underdog. GO HOOSIERS!

Central Michigan 17.5 TEMPLE

Cmon Owls!! Lets make it 2 in a row...

For CED I found a USC Temple Connection. Todd McNair the Running Backs coach for USC played for Temple.

I'm feeling Miami and Texas A&M will both win, but those aren't enough points to really make a difference.

I'm going with "The University of Memphis State University at Memphis" Tigers +7.5 over Southern Miss.

New Mexico St has 2nd ranked passing offense vs Fresnos 89th ranked passing defense. Battle between the bottom of the WAC, Ill take NM St. Fresno is also on like an 8 game losing streak.

very good point. hope you dont mind me copying your pick.

new mexico state for the win! GO AGGIES!

Georgia +14.5 at Auburn

both team are frauds

Thought I'd already placed it, but I like The Scarlet Knights
+5 over Louisville, too. Probably both teams' biggest game ever. Give me a reason to watch, anyway.

I was thinking that too CED.

I'll go with the Soprano's over Lousiville tomorrow night.

Yup.
:bow28:

Gimme dem 5 points Kev.

Huge, huge win for Rutgers and Schiano. I'm hoping we can get him to Miami to be the head coach this off-season. With what he's built up there in NJ - it would be SCARY with what he could do in South FLA IMO.

game of the year, thus far, no question.
just the environment, the oregon state - usc upset was bigger, but this was a Rutgers comeback. incredible

Totally agree. Would have made a similar thread this time - but it's late.

It was so funny seeing all those Guido's rush the field.

Now - I must get back to burning a Coker voodoo doll and channeling Paul Dee's spirit with a donut to get Schiano down to Miami...

I seem to think that Schiano was at Miami. (He doesn't LOOK like a thug.) Could that be true?:jaw:

Throw me +5 as well, bro. Scarlett Knights.....This is "R" year.

Actually I read a great article about Schiano in Sports Illustrated a couple years ago. His attitude was impressive back then when he had nothing to work with.....I do wonder what he'd accomplish with some legit D-1 talent?

Yeah - he was the defensive coordinator under Butch Davis.

He left after the last regular season game in 2000. Butch coached the D during the Sugar Bowl win over the Gators (Spurrier's last game at FLA - great way to go out!).

hmm, i like a couple pac 10 upset bids(arizona and cal) and iowa is an underdog to minnesota:wtf:

even though those 3 look strong in my eyes, i gotta go with the red hot terrapins. maryland +6.5 to BC will be my upset sspecial this week

binge, thats a gutsy pick. cincy can pull it off though. they are better than most people give them credit for. i personally thing rutgers will fall to WV.
