Strong Supplements Locker Room Talk

I just don't like phils physique. It used to look better but his legs are too big for his upper body, his back looks amazing but from the front he still looks narrow, his front double biceps looks awkward as hell, his narrow chest crunches to nothing in his most muscular. His body just lacks flow. Like I say his rear double biceps looks absolutely amazing, pretty much every other pose just doesn't look pleasing. The only other Mr olympia I felt this way about was Chris dickerson. I'm being a bit harsh, I've just looked back at some pics hand he does have amazing body parts. He looked better a few years ago and rumour is he is coming in a bit lighter this year with a tighter waist so hopefully he will look better.

Even the pic bellow, legs, good, arms amazing, midsection a bit meh and chest full but narrow. I don't look at this pic and thing that's hands down a mr olympia winning physique. Invalid Link Removed

Dorian yates. Probably one of the least asthesticly pleasing mr olympias still blows phill away with his proportions and ballance. Invalid Link Removed

^^ Agreed. I always thought Jay Cutler's physique was really balanced as well.

Yates is when bodybuilding turned overtly grotesque. Up to lee haney they had well balaned physiques that really showcased the male form. With yates and after its turned alien cyborg competition.

To be honest I was never a huge fan of Lee haney either, them and dorian were very similar. In fact I would still say dorian had a better balanced physique than Lee, Lee was a bit chest heavy and under developed in the legs. I know dorian was smaller here but his proportions are better than Lee and it has been said that Lee retired because he knew the writing was on the wall.

Personally I'm more of a Frank Zane fan so I appreciate mens classic bodybuilding more these days. Invalid Link Removed

My dads favorite bodybuilder. When I went to his house on the weekend he would always have like a torn out pic from a magazine for motivation on his fridge and it was normally Haney lol.

I think as far as personality and being a great ambassador for the sport haney pretty much had it all. He was larger than people think though, I would say it was him who kicked off the mass trend rather than dorian. His legs were a bit small (by small I mean three times larger than mine) but I think that was because when he started his reign legs were not as emphasised as much as they are today. You would never see haney doing one of those awkward looking rear lat spreads where the legs are flared in some kind of crab position and they look like someone with constipation.

Haneys chest lats and delts could hang with Ronnie's all day. Invalid Link Removed

Seems like he has many years ahead of him to reign at the top.

Classic physique is what bodybuilding should be like in my opinion.

easy come easy go...I wonder if the next gen crowd will have what it takes to have the staying power of the old timers?

It is a constantly changing sport, that's for sure !!

Fair Point. Staying power is a completely different game especially when we live in a shiny object syndrome society.

that 15 minutes of fame is far more profitable today than it once was....going to be a lot harder to stay hungry with all those phat chicks lurking about....:scool:

That's exactly what I am talking about.

Everyone starts their own supplement brand too, not easy to handle the stress of business and the stress of being a top tier competitor.

. Pretty big turnover with the top dogs every 3-5 years I would say. Obviously there are outliers too

reminds me of a mellencamp song...hang on to 16 as long as you can, life will come around real soon, make us women and men...change is enevitable, just seems like the older I get the faster it comes, lol.

It’s crazy how many small supp companies there are now a days. It use to be only a hand full and now it seems everyone is trying to start their own.

I am thinking about bringing out my own brand "Rocket increased Power Performance Supplements" RiPPS

You should add “and stuff” to the end of it... I don’t think it’s long enough

president kennedy started the president's council on physical fitness...even had a booklet with exercises and diets in it...if I remember right it was a dark blue hand held little book.

Definitely a great product to lean you up and provide that dense muscle hardness. If you haven’t ran this before it’s delivers

Well this is the first time I have seen a hi-tech buyout in which they weren't the ones doing the buying out.

the current gaspari line is such doo-doo.

honestly, nothing they sell is justified in the prices they are asking. nearly everything is under dosed or under supplied (15 or 20 day supplies versus the usual 30 day supplies provided by other companies)

hopefully gaspari understands this and will attempt to turn things around. best gaspari product I used was size on back in the day.

No joke. Wonder how much he bought it for.... I know Jared isn’t in the business of losing money so it must have not been that profitable.. of course this is just speculation.

I also don’t foresee them being able to make a real comeback in today’s market but ya never know. I guess the only thing I know for a fact is that Ron Kramer isn’t happy about it

Best of luck to him.

Yep hopefully they can turn it around. I like anavite as a multi.

What do you mean by ron kramer isn't happy about it? Isn't he the guy that sues everyone?

Lol what were his "good" supplements?

I don't understand how a guy like that sleeps at night, your entire business is about extorting small businesses.

ya Ron can go suck a fat one... I wouldnt go as far as calling ANY of his supplements "good" lol

All he ever sold was a bunch of useless $hit that didnt work which is why he had to go and sue other companies that actually made products that were actually highly effective

What do you guys to do help improve your sleep. I know there's ton of supplements, but do any of you guys have good "natural" approaches?
