Strange Steroid Induced Side Effect

My friend got lines on his head after doing a cycle of steroids. Was using test 400 at the time. What on earth is it? The lines haven't ever gone. It's like he has a few tram lines shaved onto his head. Can see them if he does a full head shave but is hidden if he grows his hair. Searched a lot but not something we ever found an answer to.

It's nothing bad looking, just looks like when someone gets their head shaved from a barber but the barber added a few tram lines for style...

Defo not stretch marks and he not bothered by it, but he won't touch steroids until he understands what caused it. Seems like a rare side effect, his PCT was spot on as well, but it happened, though atleast I get to use roids and annoy him by super sizing my gains vs his lol but it's always more fun when we both on it.

EDIT: The lines almost look like wrinkles on his scalp if that helps anyone who may recoognise the symptom. And it feels bumpy when touching.

Lol I was joking. It's prob best not to use them till he knows what happened

Sounds like he got some fat up there.

^^agreed. If you post a picture of your friends head it would be easier to understand what these lines look like. It could be anything..what color are the lines, is it in his skin/skull, on the skins surface? how big? Has he always shaved his head?

Looks like I've just found out what it is. It's apparently called Cutis verticis gyrata. Took countless googling to find anything on it. It looks like this:

Glad I've finally found a name for it atleast but it seems doctors still don't know the cause though, but they do say anabolics can cause it. Apart from that it seems like there's limited research on it so still stuck at square one.

Looks like he might of unlocked a medical issue he doesn't know he has.

" Primary non essential CVG can be associated with neuropsychiatric disorders including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, seizures and ophthalmologic abnormalities, most commonly cataracts.

Secondary CVG occurs as a consequence of a number of diseases or drugs that produce changes in scalp structure. These include: acromegaly (excessive growth hormone levels due to pituitary gland tumours), excessive drug use that mimics acromegaly (including the injection of growth hormone itself and drugs that stimulate growth hormone output, such as GHRP-6 and CJC-1295), melanocytic naevi (moles), birthmarks (including connective tissue naevi, fibromas and naevus lipomatosus), and inflammatory processes (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, Darier disease, folliculitis, impetigo, atopic dermatitis, acne).

crazy. Could be any number of things then. I'm gonna give him the info and tell him to see the doc. I'm defo not gonna get him any stuff again, don't want to be responsible for something worse happening.

I had that problem one time, got me in a bad situation. Only buy anything for you. No one else. Not even your friends.
