storing supplements

Damn!. How do you pay the bills?. That looks like at least a few thousand dollars worth or supplements, maybe more...

lol, it's not as bad as it looks! Tax returns helped, as well as the Big Hugeness sale for all the XF, i-Force was all free from when I was a rep, Labrada was all free from winning their Lean Body Challenge. Huhm, that still leaves a lot, guess I'm a supp whore! :D

Do's (Coming from someone who manufactures DS for a living):
1. 59-77 F with 35-65% humidity is optimal- this is right off the Capsugel Box- we go through tens of millions of capsules per year
2. Keep in a dark place- capsules especially tend to be photosensitive- the first sign of photosensitivity is a fading of coloration on the light-facing side of a capsule- clear bottles tend to speed up this process if they are not kept in the dark
3. Always keep the dessicant pack in the bottle, especially with powdered products
4. Always keep the tub or bottle tightly sealed when not in use
5. Always keep the label on your tub or bottle of capsules, even if it falls off, just in case

Don'ts:
1. Don't keep a bottle of capsules or a tub of powder in your gym bag, unless you are taking it out every night.
2. Don't keep supps in your car (130 F plus heat can degrade powder and/or capsules)
3. Don't keep supps in your bathroom (high heat and humidity can destroy capsules)
4. Don't handle tub or bottle of capules unnecessarily
5. Don't leave kids or pets with access to the supplements- it is a recipe for disaster
6. Don't take anything that doesn't have a label to go along with it- even if you think you know what it is- if you are using a pill case- make sure it is labeled as well

There are a lot more- but these are some of the big ones.....

Good information, relates back to common sense which isn't so common now a days.

You would be surprised at some of the e-mails I get :)
