Stimul8 New Capped Preworkout Log

Pretty close to it. Walking today sucks. Total workout was 6 rounds of 18 DL @ 135; 18 pull ups; 18 KB goblet squats @ 60; 300 meter run. Took me 38:24. Sucked.

108 body squats would wear me out! With 60lb kettle ball would be brutal!

I can't even mess with crossfit. **** would kill me haha

Haha it took awhile for my body to get used to it. I love it, but I'm not one the "crossfit is the greatest form of exercise on earth" type people. It works for me - I have exercise ADD so the variation keeps me going!

Some of those crossfit people get ridiculous with the whole "fittest people on earth" mantra lol

It's one thing to be into it, but have you guys seem these supplement programs some cross fitters are doing? Is 600 a month a little steep for you guys?

$600??? Yeah, mine is about $70 a month and that's counting protein powder. And I'm figuring in what my rep allotment would cost that I use. Stimul8 last me almost 3 months. BCAA's are cheap. Creatine Energy is a 2 month container and Max pump last me a couple months. Muscle Fiber is about 3 month supply. That's all I use.

Ya some guy was telling me they all think it's perfectly acceptable. I was thinking that's a really nice car or a small house house payment.

There are about 150 crossfitters at the box I belong to, and I can safely say that not one of them would find $600/mo acceptable at all! That's insane. It's one thing if you're a top CF athlete (male winner of the games gets around $250k, plus the top men/women have some pretty lucrative sponsorship deals), but that's insane for the average crossfitter!

It has to. I mean, there are supplement companies that market to crossfit (e.g., Progenix) but it's no more expensive than bodybuilding companies. Maybe they have food delivery service. There are companies that will make you food according to your macros and deliver it to you so you never have to cook. I'm sure that gets pricey.

Surely that includes gym membership as well. The CF gyms around here are 1-250/mo

Iz asked around, it's called iso genics I guess?..... still got no clue about it though, that's all the time I had to get to today.

Isogenix is a liquid diet type protein shake. A buddy of mine tried it. At 6'1" and 245lbs (40% bf) he was consuming about 800 calories a day. 2 or 3 shakes and one meal. No wonder there is weight loss. Super expensive program for making people eat very little.
Shakes were nothing special.

You got to be kidding! That's just nuts

Yeah, my buddy spent $450 Canadian for a 30 day "weight loss program" that had him eating barely anything (lots of fibre bars to fill him up). He also had energy shots to keep him going. I said that at $450 for a month you could pay someone to follow you around and stop you from eating and drinking the crap that's ruining your diet!
I guess the idea of spending that much means you are going to stick with the program since you won't be able to afford any other food! :)

As far as I know its also a direct sales (pyramid though they say it isn't) company. If you get friends to buy from you then your plan is cheaper... So for a gym to have that as their nutrition program is a real money grab and not really in the clients interest in my book.

Isogenix is a joke. My box tried to push it early on and the backlash from the members was insane. It's just a scheme

I Iike that you start with incline dbs .... and then work up to 100s no less.

my gym only goes up to 100s and my flat bench has been hurting my shoulders lately. My chest feels much stronger doing incline compared to flat though for overall chest development. I still do flat but not nearly as much as i used to.

I'm in that crowd too. Main bench is heavy inclines and heavy incline flyes!

best joint supplement anyone ??? i need something for my right elbow flare ups. i was using orange triad but my local store doesnt have it and he keeps trying to sell me superfruit greens from barleans lolololol im like no thank you, then he tries to sell me some elstajoint supplement.

Can you not order orange triad online? Usually cheaper anyway.

Super Cissus is always at the top of the list. I keep a bottle just for flare ups. Using it right now for my wrist.

I use Supercissus as well. However, we take turmeric, boswellia serrata and fish oil 3x a day on all three of those. Really helps with joints. I have 0 joint pain, don't lift quite as heavy as you guys, but my husband who is a bit older also has no joint pain.

I have those days too. At least you put in work even though you felt out of 'it'.
