Hi, I have done a couple superdrol cycles and put on good size and strength by most peoples standards.

But latley I have been feeling pec tie in pain under my right arm. I read up and I found out steroids weaken your ligaments prety bad.

What are some good supps to take to keep my ligaments healthy and maybe even stronger if posible.

The pain is getting worse and Im afraid to get a pec tear, Im on cycle right now so I realy gotta get my **** together fast.

Thanks for any help guys!

Whoa, I've NEVER heard of anyone who KNEW that they were gonna tear a muscle before it happened. I wonder if you already have a tear/tendonitis

IMO, dump all of your upper body push moves out of your routine. I bet you could sneak through your cycle without damaging it if you stuck to pulls the rest of the way.

These are the sort of things that research would have told you had you done some before you started using steroids.

Steroids do not weaken tendons. Increased muscle contractile strength puts excessive strain on tendons. They are not weakened but rather they are not able to keep up the the rate of strength increase and growth of muscle fibers that one can achieve using steroids. This is also a very common ailment for those who have never trained very much or very well before using steroids. They never developed tendon strength in the first place and then they use steroids.

Aside from the plethora of ancillaries most employ there is also the use of common sense. You don't necessarily need to train with extremely heavy weight in order to achieve muscle hypertrophy. Methods like TUT or volume training can produce significant hypertrophy without the possible damage associated with heavy weights.

Do some more research. It's good for your health.

Good luck.

:goodpost: I read it twice.

Well-said, B! The world would be a better place if more folks would heed the knowledge and experience you bring.

The whole "Get HYOOGE fast!" thing gets to be an obsession, but you have to remember to keep things appropriate: tendons take time to gain the strength & mass necessary to stand up to the strain of moving massive weight - and by "time", I mean weeks and months of being subjected to slow loads. Deadlifts and farmer's-carry are king here (sound off if I've missed something obvious), but rather than increasing your weight as your muscles get used to it, try slowing them down instead.

Important to remember that ligaments take longer to adapt than tendons, just as tendons take longer than muscles - and they take MUCH LONGER TO HEAL once they're damaged...just as tendon injuries take much longer to heal than muscles (has to do with blood supply, if you're interested).

This is perhaps the BIG reason I do not lift to failure.

The takehome is: if you actually want to transform your body, you have to work WITH your body and its mechanisms - that takes TIME, and *that* requires focus, discipline and persistence; it's a lifestyler's gig, dabblers & dilettantes should not try this, at home or elsewhere: if you "just want to get fit", yard-work and portion control will go a long way for you!

Anyhow, that's some stuff I learned.

A hinged cti is a necessity or he could possibly further tear whats already torn or even blow the whole triad.

Perk is they are getting good results with cavaderic ligaments coated or impregnated with certian cytokines etc that seemingly work much better than stiching things up. I was a few articles on it. Ill poke aropund ans see if I can find them.

what's a cti?

What's the triad? Biceps, pec, anterior delt? I've heard of the "unhappy tried" with ACL, MCL and medial meniscus but that's irrelevant to the OP.

Worth mentioning that bone density could prove an additional worry, a rugby players leg being snapped by the muscle surrounding it immediately comes to mind.

Is deca the commercial name of the naturally occurring hormone nandrolone?

From a health standpoint, wouldn't the best and safest cycle be testosterone and nandrolone?

Let your body heal! That is what you need to take - REST! You are overexerting yourself and outstripping the ability of your tendons and ligaments to catch up to the muscle.

You should also spend a MINIMUM of 5 minutes before AND 5 minutes AFTER working out stretching. It's good for you, drives blood into the muscles, prevents injury, and so many other wonderful things. It also gives you 10 minutes a day to be distracted by all the nice vaginas in the gym, so that the other 50 minutes you can focus on working out. Stretching helps you grow!

Let it not be said I don't at least occasionally make useful posts.

There's some great points made here. Also steroids that give you the 'wetter' gains help lubricate joints & tendons but that's the last thing I'd reccommend with your potential problem. The best thing along with higher reps & holding back from push moves, as mentioned above GH & IGF-1 both help 'heal' tendons & joints. Though the injection type you almost have to be rich to take for an extended period.
