Sterility and TRT

So I've been on TRT for about 6 years now, and to be very frank, I've done my share of cycles ever since starting (with no PCT obviously).

What are the chances of me being able to father children in the future?

I know that my best bets are to use hCG + hMG for fertility, when the time comes.

I started my TRT protocol with hCG + test, but hCG caused too many E2/acne issues for me so I just stopped it and everything's been easier to maintain this way now.

When the time comes, will I be able to keep on a low dose of test, while implementing hCG/hMG? I do not wish to try an all out halt / restart with clomid. The emotional/mental/physical sides of doing that will be horrendous.

6 years is a long time, but if you were secondary shutdown before TRT and not primary , a little over 3 months at a low does of Test with hcg and hmg should show you some results.

My bad, I should've mentioned the issues that caused me to start TRT:

Testicular Varicocele on one side
Pituitary Microadenoma (unsure if it's secreting, but very very doubtful, most likely non-malignant as my prolactin has always tested normal, never lactated, etc)
Adrenal Fatigue / low DHEA, etc

Currently using Test/aromasin/ dermacrine + hydrocortisone (25mg/day).

My natural test levels before TRT were around 310. I tried for 2 years to increase it naturally (after joining this forum) to no avail.

I think it varies from person to person.
I have been on for 3.5 years and dabbled with other things that are more suppressive. but nothing to save fertility, i had same TT range as you, and grade 2 and grade 3 varicoceles (corrected by surgery a year prior to trt). We already had one child that was healthy and she had said no to a second child (though she seems to have since changed her mind).

My wife had a miscarriage several months ago...so who knows...

Very sorry to hear about the miscarriage.

So this pregnancy occurred while on TRT and not taking anything like hCG/hMG for fertility? This is promising indeed.

We had no plans for having more, so it was something of a surprise.
I had assumed after so long I was not able to produce anything anymore, though we still treated sex as if I could.
Personally if my future had included having more kids the hcg/hmg would have been a part of it all along as i think it is easier to maintain function than try and restore it.

I agree. It's much easier to maintain. I get horrible acne from the wildly fluctuating levels of E2 while on HCG though unfortunately, and had to stop taking it.

I know someone who has been on trt for about 4 years with heavy cycles of test and deca, who has never run hcg or hmg before, and is having their kid in about 2 months. I believe it is more of an age issue as far as fertility goes, not so much hormone cruising and running suppressive drugs like deca. So if you are in your 40's it will probably be more of a problem.

You need to worry about it. Have your sperm count checked. I'm 30 and had a zero sperm count after being on trt for over 4 years. My low testosterone levels were self induced due to cycling without proper pct since I was 19. After 6 months of aggressive hcg and clomid my sperm came back normal high. I now have a 4 month old lil guy.

Is he sure it's his kid? Anything is possible, but to not have your sperm count and natural T totally shutdown in 4 years is hard to believe.

Dr Lipshultz at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston published a study that showed that men on TRT plus 500 UI of HCG every other day regained normal sperm production and quality. I use 500 IU twice per week of HCG plus 75 mg twice per week of T cypionate (same syringe).

I haven't been using HCG for years but I'm thinking of giving deez nuts a restart. Planing on using 500iu eod for a month then 1 shot of triptorelin. Might not be a bad idea to do this from time to time. I can't take HCG on a regular basis because of the acne it gives me.

Run some trest for a while, that should do the trick lol.... Or do a few doses of triptorelin back to back and you'll permanently fry your HPA lol... No worries about kids then

Not trying to damage my body lol just kill all of my sperm
