Yes I did
Good job on your sobriety man. Thank you for your service

After 4 years and 2 deployments in OIF, I came back with some addiction issues as well.

Took 5 years to recover. It's always there knocking on the door...

22 too many...

After 3 1/2 years in combat out of 10 years in the Army and 3 combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan I had two divorces. My addiction came way before deployments. 49 IED explosions on my truck, shot twice, and stabbed once. With 2 PH. My deployments and wives made my addictions worse. Now I'm on course

Good job brother. Stay the course.

Been with my wife for 6 years. She wanted to leave many times. My doctors at the VA and I had to explain to her what it's like to live with a Vet.

She can deal with it now lol.

It's hard man. Soldier on. I'm here for you brother. Stay strong. I know you are.

You're a soldier.

I showed her FFDP wrong side of heaven.

She gets it.

I did my 5 years in the streets after... Jail, addiction, failed relationships, section 8.
I could go on... But you know.

"What it's like"
Civies will never know.

When people ask about my unit, I just say look for the "big red one" patch on their arm in movies, games etc.

Not that it matters, but what was your rank, I retired as an E5 promotable
Discharged at E-4.

When I was in I got on trouble as an 18 year old private at my unit. Stripped of rank within a year of being an e-3 to nothing. Did my 45 and 45 on my first tour to Iraq. Filling sandbags for 6 hours after work lol. 20hr days.

Got a lot of respect for that.

Worked my way back up

No Sh it! take care of that shoulder. hope it's going to be ok.

Rotator cuff refab helps. I don't think I got much from the stretches. Actually started feeling a little better after I quit stretching it for some reason.

Got to get those Shoulders warmed up good before any lifting.

That's a tough one. Shoulder issues pretty much kills bench press. Maybe try some incline DB Hex press, Landmine presses, one armed incline cable press. Lightweight high rep, just to see how the shoulder holds up.

Good suggestions.
Hex press incline, DB pull overs. lower pec standing cable flys. If you have access to a hammer strength decline, 2 handed landmines.

Funny thing is, when I was bulking I would eat like 3 plates, and then another 3 plates of just crawfish. This time I ate 1 plate, and then a plate of crawfish, and I was done. Wife said, "Why don't you eat tonight". My response was "Radiate".
