Soy Lecithin and Bloating...

Ok guys, I'm relatively new here and after reading through the forums I decided to try Soy Lecithin (VS brand). I am on day 3 and I do feel like my muscles are slightly fuller although I expect to start seeing more results week 2 or so. However, I am not sure if this is just me or not but when I have been trying to go to sleep I feel like my stomach is bloated and honestly it's a little bit uncomfortable. I am dosing 1.2 g PA so 15g of SL preworkout and same dosage with breakfast on off days and have not changed my diet. Is anyone else experiencing this or is this in my head? I couldn't find anything specifically addressing this issue thanks guys

Soy letchithin is used as a food additive and definitely can give things a thicker consistency. You could need to add more fiber bro. Check the thread '"im on phosphatic acid yall" The dude danes on there can probly help you better.

Thanks EM. Yeah I read that whole long thread and I saw a couple mentions about SL and bloating but I am trying to see more people's experience with this specifically... Maybe Danes can chime in here?

Bloating on soy Lecithin/PA Is pretty common due to glycogen retention. Thats why people,(me too) gain weight without eating more :)

But its not like it will just bloat your stomach

Is there a way to minimize that bloating?

Its easier to see the bloating on the stomach , especially if you have low fat %

Great to know thanks for the response Danes! So there is potential for it to bloat your stomach although like you said not just your stomach necessarily. I am using this on a recomp/cut so is SL going to hinder my ability to lean out?

How long have you been on SL :) ?
The bloating is just temporary. So its up to you to decide if its worth to go with small bloating or not. Remember , there are many beneficial phospholipids in SL and PS will activate mTOR just like PA. Use it 3 months and when you drop SL, your bloat will be better and your strength and size will be better than without SL/PA :)

I have been on it for 3 days now. Its just really annoying when I am trying to go so sleep lol! So you are saying that the bloat till get better as my body adapts over the first week or so?

I would try 3 weeks and see how it goes. If it really bother you then drop SL and try concentrated PA product.
Bloating is just temporary and you will gain more strength and size while on SL/PA.

Crap, I am blowing up like crazy. I don't remember this happening when I used to add this to food, but this time I am getting fat in only a matter of days. All mid section and my face feels like it is "full". I need to drop it and see what happens.

I don't seem to be any less lean (been on it for 4 days now) but the stomach definitely felt bloated esp. when sleeping. It has gotten better however since the first day or two. I would recommend you cut the carbs if you haven't already and see if that helps!

Yeah, I won't be cutting carbs. :) I would much rather drop the SL. I run a fairly carb light diet to begin with.

That too bad man its not treating you well man. It may subside some with continued use once your body adopts. But, since it is so cheap it isnt as big of a disappointment when it doesnt work for you.

Oh yeah, I am not sweating it at all. I am just bummed because it is delicious. :) But, I can't look in the mirror and think, wtf...

I think we need to clarify "bloating". The OP seems to be talking about a super-full stomach feeling, making it difficult to sleep (from 2 TBS of SL Granules?). Danes is talking about Glycogen pulling water into the muscle - or maybe some sub-q water. I don't see how 2TBS of SL can bloat the stomach, but I guess people react differently. Maybe you can switch to ArA instead? (more expensive), or like said above - concentrates.

Ok guys so just an update. Been roughly one week and the stomach bloated feeling is completely gone and I am starting to see increased fullness throughout the day and in the mirror as well. Already seen some great things and can't wait to see what week 2 and 3 have in store!

Like I said. No reason to give up. Allways try couple of weeks and see how it goes. It seems like ot works pretty good for you :)
