Some "diet" tips

alright everyone i am trying to diet a bit and figured i would share some of the things i am eating and see how you all like them and perhaps i could steal a recipe or two from you all. i keep all of mine very simple and easy to store in mass.
Also, this isn't any extreme dieting, still fairly carb heavy. My "diet" i guess is getting a good amount of calories from quality sources--as opposed to pizzas and pre-made burritos1.

1) tuna bagels
large can tuna (those big 6oz cans or whatever, don't have one in front of me but the bigger tuna cans)
4 boiled eggs chopped up
1 - 2 spoons of lite mayo.
Mix it up in a storage bin.

should be enough tuna salad for 4-5 bagels easily. I usually eat two bagels at a time. feel free to add lettuce, tomatoe, etc.

2) chicken caesar salad.
Kind of self explanatory. Buy some chicken. store it.
cook some per night and put it over your salad.

3) oatmeal

4) protein shake

5) Pancakes / sugar free syrup.

those are the staples in my arsenal right now.

Hmmmm...sounds like you are getting in approx 150 grams of protein. When dieting, I tend to UP the protein in lieu of the othr Macros.

Maybe swap the pancakes out for a Protein meal or some low carb/healthy fats (almonds)?

OR Add some protein to the Meal # 3 (oatmeal)

Also, in general, your healthy fats intake seems low

Good luck buddy ;)

my protein shakes have 50-75 grams of protein (usually 2-3 scoops) so it ups it a bit. I probably could use a bit more though (spread throughout the day)

I usually have 1 shake in the morning, another after training, and one about an hour before bed.
I get around 150g protein a day from shakes alone.

replace bagels with Ezekiel bread or wraps. too many carbs in bagels if trying to lose wight

I need carbs, if I don't get enough I get headaches and my training goes down hill drastically

Healthy pancakes:

4 whole eggs and one cup oats into blender until mostly smooth (some small bits of oats).
Add 1 cup cottage cheese, teaspoon baking powder, teaspoon sea salt, tablespoon olive oil, dash vanilla extract and 1/4 cup milk (I use coconut milk) and blend again.
Pour onto griddle to desired size pancake and cook as you would a normal pancake.

My kids eat them with butter and sugar free syrup; I use a little natty pb and honey.

Delicious and healthy.

That sounds legit, will have to give a shot. Okay if I leave out the cottage cheese?

Never tried it w/o. Maybe some plain greek yogurt instead? Could try vanilla protein powder as well.

3 eggs
17 turkey pepperoni slices (70 calories)
chopped up onion (maybe around 1/10 of whole onion)

Grill onion on skillet until it's just starting to crisp up, then throw in cut up turkey pepperoni slices and the eggs

Scramble it all together, enjoy the amazing taste

I like to eat my homemade beef stew with 1/2C to 1C of cottage cheese added. Pretty plain/simple stew. Good protein.

That being said, definitely eat more of these!
- Nuts. They are high in protein fiber, and very healthy :)
- Multi-grain and wheat products instead of products made from white bread.
- Green tea! Proven to help lose weight if you drink a cup or more a day :) Plus, it's super healthy with antioxidants which get rid of everything bad that's in your body.
- Water. It's the healthiest substance alive :)
- Fruits and vegtables.
- Lean protein, like eggs and chicken.

Yowsers ! Gotcha ;)

Asparagus, broccoli, olive oil, spinache, avocados/guacamole, chicken breast, ground turkey, whey protein, Grapefruits, tuna, tilapia, occasionally lean sirloin steak, eggs, 2% cheese, casein protein. That about sums up the foods I eat while on a low carb cut. Vegetables are a absolute must to help fill you up without to many calories.

My go to low carb meals are...

Grilled chicken breast or a turkey burger no bun with olive oil topped with spinach, guacamole, 2% Mexican blend cheese, and franks hot sauce, side of asparagus and broccoli

Chicken sausage without the pork casing over spinach with garlic parsley oregano and a little salt,

An awesome sweet potatoe recipe I love to carb up on is ...
Microwave 1.5 pounds of sweet potatoe for 15 minutes, remove and remove skin, add half a cup of light coconut milk(not coconut water**) and a table spoon of minced ginger, mash them up real nice, put them in the oven on 375 for ten minutes

simple, eat everything seperate that way i'm feeling like i'm eating more. don't ever blend more than one or two things together, shakes go down too easy and the lack of chewing keeps me hungry.
