SNS X-GELS? Worth the buy or worthless?

Ya, you are good to go.

I would like to try ArA, however I have no intention on gaining mass, I'm a powerlifter at the ceiling of my weight class, with only some wriggle room while losing whatever fat is left and gaining muscle in place of that.

However I am VERY interested in the strength effects of ArA, if my diet was maintenance/deficit. Would I still be able to reap the strength gains, or are those gains associated with muscle mass gained with respect to ArA?

You could eat at a deficit and still gain strength.

The majority of the people that use it talk about the strength gains. One of the main effects of Invalid Link Removed is gains in strength. In fact there is another thread about ArA with people delving into a study where they talk about the gains in strength specifically. I'd think the gains in mass would be associated with an increase in calories after noticing the strength gains. I believe X-gels would also be useful while dieting allowing you to keep your strength up. If I were in your situation I wouldn't go under maintenance but would stay at maintenance level while on the X-gels...Maybe go just very slightly over maintenance depending on how you react. It's all about balancing your diet. I may not be able to give you as scientific an answer as some of the smarter guys on here, but that is the best answer I'm able to give at this point.

It has great data surrounding its ergogenic ability which does not necessarily stem from an increase in muscle mass. So you should be good to go :D

Thanks heaps guys, just snapped up the last 2 bottles on NP. Should last me a while with 4 caps pre workout only. :)

EDIT: Btw it costs 110 bucks for a bottle of X Factor + Shipping here in Australia. While only 80 bucks for two bottles with 25 shipping on NP...man I hate Aussie prices.

Solid advice^ You should be good to go. Diet is the biggest factor in manipulating weight loss/gain

As others posted, if you do not have the calories to support growth, you will not grow.

Also, powerlifter here who used it, and I've seen a log from another powerlifter on here (bolt10) and seemed to really enjoy it.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

I was going to grab a second bottle tomorrow to run in my pct log.

I'll fight you for it.....?

Does the 50day mark refer to the total days from your first dose or the amount of days you actually dose the supplement?

It's generally referring to the days you dose it...the 50 day study was dosing every day...

I am doing my 50 day run counting the days I dose ArA.

I checked, NP should be getting more Xgels in tomorrow, so you'll be good to go in the couple of days...

I see you already made the decision, but just wanted to say I think it was a good one. ArA is a solid choice and with proper caloric intake you can make some solid gains in strength without necessarily adding weight on the scale. :)

Thanks! I may just dose it on training days then. Four bottles to do, 2g four times per week. What benefit if any would a lower on off days provide? Would your body make use of it on off days when recovering?

I'm sure this has already been asked, but does it matter if you dose with our without food?

I believe an empty stomach is preferred. Not sure it will matter too much. I just wouldn't take them with a meal. Try to space out as much as possible.

Thanks for the links De_eB.

I've seen no difference, nor have I seen someone post about it.

If you're dosing 2g 4x week, I think off day dosing would have minimal effect and only shorten the length of the bottle.

I recalled that there was discussion about dosing ArA away from food intake so that it will be more efficiently directed towards muscle cells rather than fat cells? I could be wrong but I believe I've seen it discussed before. Either way, it seems that both dosing protocols seems to net good results.

Preferably without food...you'll be dosing all gels preWO, yes?

Yes, I take them pre-workout. However, my pre-workout meal is at 3pm (finish eating around 3:30pm) and I'm in the gym a little after 4pm. I was taking them right after the meal. I'll now wait and take them immediately prior to the workout. The ArA won't be in my system until midway through training, but I figure it's late in the workout and after training that it really does its thing anyway.

I like to run after workouts but I've seen a few say the calf pumps are crippling. What can be don't about this besides just not running? Tauren? It's used during a PH cycle but can it be used during ArA cycle. Thanks, very informative thread.

You really shouldn't workout that close to a meal in general with or without X-gels

Depends on the insulin response and fat content of the meal you're going to be eating

The meal is 65gm carb / 50gm pro / 10gm fat

You really shouldn't workout that close to a meal in general with or without X-gels

I'm one of the those guys that eats 6 meals. I could probably push the 3pm meal up to 2:30pm. In fact, maybe this is the best solution:

- move pre-workout meal to 2:30pm
- dose ArA at 3:30pm
- workout at 4:15pm

Got my shipment today - 2 bottles x-gels + 2 bottles LCLT + 1 tub Glycergrow. Kinda giddy... Thinking about stopping fish oil altogether during this run, along with minimizing my nsaid use. For a while there I was taking a BC powder every morning - cleared the cobwebs and just made me feel better. Any thoughts on taking a break from fish oil, or should I continue it and just dose it 4-5 hours away from this stack?

The bottle also says to take it with meals. I know there's been ongoing discussion about this, but why would they say to do this if it is better taken on an empty stomach?

If you can, just dose the Fish Oil 8-12 hours away from the ArA.

Regardless of ArA or not...I would severely advice against regular NSAID use and rather consult a physician to find the reason for the pain (wherever it is), as we know long term use and overdosing of NSAIDs is no bueno.

Case in point: my father almost died recently from an ulcer caused by long term overuse of ibuprofen. He recently became ill with a kind of bone marrow cancer that destroys your red blood cells and platelets. This made his ulcers start to bleed uncontrollably to the point that he very nearly didn't make it to the hospital in time and needed an enormous transfusion of blood.

Never mind that the ulcer is the reason they found his cancer, that is kind of beside the point.

Prayers for your father Swanks. The side effects of ibuprofen at least helped catch the cancer and hopefully he can recover with treatment.

Thanks cel. I was trying to point out the whole ulcer thing as a side effect but I guess I made it all about me. Ha :/

Its unfortunately not a cancer that has a great track record of remission, but keeping my fingers crossed.

This. Obviously sporadic dosing is fine, but something else is going on if needed daily. I'd look into another Cox-2 inhibitor.

Like? (in a really positive tone of question... My grandma is real dependent on NSAIDs)

I'm absolutely not giving your grandmother advice here, but Curcumin, Cissus, Fish Oil to name a few.

I'm just not a fan of daily NSAID usage when the root cause should be examined.

Same and I got her on those already :/ thanks though.

Planing to stack this with controlled labs glycergrow and protocol v2 by genomyx since its a high dose of lclt.

Point taken on the nsaids. One BC powder has about 800mg of aspirin plus a kick of caffeine. I took one every morning for about 6 weeks, and decided to stop this regular dosing a couple weeks ago. I was taking it for general achiness and fatigue. Not sure where this falls in regards to 'overuse', but I'm doing fine with just sporadic use now.

Ok, not sure if this is an issue or not. Opened one of my bottles of LCLT from Betancourt, and most of the capsules look like they have impurities in them (spotted). I'll post some pics shortly. If they ALL had this, I might not be as worried about it. The other bottle has a completely different label (same company), and those caps aren't transparent, so I can't see the contents unless I break one open. These don't have quite as strong of an odor as the other bottle with the strange looking specks. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
