SNS Focus XT Log from Yeahright

There's a new one.Lawyer saying other people go on and on and on and...haha!

These 12 hour shifts are kicking my butt. Focus could come in handy. The kind that doesn't make you shake when you're writing.

Point taken. :icon_lol:

Have you taken Piracetam? I thought that wasn't bad.. You have to retake it every few hours. I've tried True Focus by NOW mixed with Piracetam and that was pretty good. Still not the 'AMP' like focus.

I need something to get me in the study zone, without the cracked- out comedown period

Speaking of piracetam, I have read of several people taking that along with Focus XT as well.

LOG DAY SIX

My goal in taking the product today:
Physical and emotional endurance.

DOSAGE:
Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 8:00am.

EFFECT:
My in-laws are staying with me. If nothing else, just throwing two more people into the chaotic mix which is my household is enough to drive me crazy at times. I had a nice free weight workout in the morning, felt good and strong. Every movement went smoothly.

After that, I embarked upon a three hour odyssey of yard work including mowing laws, working on a fence, and at one point balancing on top of a 20 foot ladder with one hand gripping my roof and the other wielding a chainsaw against some unruly hedges that grew 5 feet since the spring. It was at this point, perched up high, using one arm to wield a tool designed for two, that I realized the Focus XT must be doing its stuff. I was not nervous. I was not careless. I knew what I was doing was dangerous but it needed to be done so I was doing it in the safest and most efficient way possible. I was strong and focussed.

After a quick shower, I still felt good so I took the kids on a 2 mile walk to the local icecream parlor.

Later that night, I stayed up reading until I finished the novel I was working on and promptly fell fast asleep.

THOUGTS:
The initial "WOW" that I experienced when I first started taking this product has diminshed somewhat but the core experience of mood elevation, mental concentration and physical endurance has remained consistant.

Glad you are pleased. I like seeing how the product works for you in various types of settings.

Also, this may be the first time I have ever seen in laws and chainsaw in the same post where there was no correlation or underlying meaning lol

:saw:

LOL, they're not that bad........but darn if they can't find some old cowboy movie on the tv 24/7.

LOG DAY SEVEN

My goal in taking the product today: Burning through a pile of paperwork.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 7:00am.

EFFECT: I felt motivated and focussed most of the day. I needed to take care of a bunch of paperwork at my office before the holiday and then a bunch of personal errands to prepare for an upcoming trip. Everything went well and I topped off the afternoon with a nice free weight mini-workout.

At the seventh dose mark are you noticing any decline in perceived effectiveness?

Yes and no. The "wow" factor has diminished in that it's not such an obvious shift from a before state to an "on" state. However, I'm not perceiving a need to up the dose to get my desired effect.

I'd best describe it as a feeling of being continually elevated a certain amount and thus the next dose isn't such a dramatic improvement but the end state is the same.

I'd contrast this with the experience (especially of straight-up stims) where the end state is lower unless the dose is ramped up.

I've been thinking about this and it feels (this is all subjective of course) as if my brain was undernourished, and the first couple nourishing meals made dramatic improvements, but now that the nutritional deficiencies have been eliminated, the meals just bring me up to a nice equilibrium. How is that for a metaphor?

I'm really enjoying this stuff. It gives me a nice effect but doesn't feel like it's doing my body damage like many stims do (just the opposite, it feels nourishing). This is definately more nootropic than straight-up stimulant. This seems to have its strongest effects on mood, drive and mind-body connection (for me anyway).

Oddly enough, I was talking to my sons about meditation this morning and this reminds me of the calm focus I used to achieve when I meditated regularly.

LOL, I have three kids.......I'm always tripping over legos just walking around the house.

LOG DAY EIGHT

My goal in taking the product today: Focus and drive during some intense labor negotiations.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 7:00am.

EFFECT: I woke-up to the clock radio informing me that a creosote-soaked pier had caught fire (fireworks) a half-mile from my office. Groan, that was going to make the commute fun. When I got close, the thing was still smoking, which fouled the air and made the roads crawl to a stop.........then my cellphone rings and it's the negotiator from management calling to tell me that he's home sick and we need to cancel negotiations. :woohoo:

So I get into my office, clear the voicemail, talk with my co-workers about various administrative matters, and then call the wife. Let's go to lunch! With the in-laws in town, we got to go have a nice lunch without having to keep kids under control, then took a stroll and chatted.

My mood was up, I was feeling confident and amorous. Focus XT or just finally having some free time with the wife? I don't care, it was a good day.

Thats a good way to put it in terms of how I personally feel it also.

LOG DAY NINE

My goal in taking the product today: Gearing up for war.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 7:00am.

EFFECT: OK, today was supposed to be the work day from Hell. I was supposed to have one high stakes meeting after another culminating in the final session of a dispute which has been ongoing for more than 6 months. So, I took my Focus XT, then popped an Ergopharm AMP, then threw in a Biotest Spike (sulbutamine), and went out the door.

One by one every task that I was supposed to tackle evaporated before me like a mirage. Person X was sick so that meeting got cancelled, Person Y had a family crisis, Person Z freakin died of a heart attack two days before. I was jacked to the gills with nowhere to expend the energy. All in all, a wasted day but other than being in a bad mood, that combination of nootropics and stimulants was pretty potent....as they seemed to complement each other rather than being duplicative.

LOG NOTE:

I'm going on a one week business trip out of the country starting this weekend. As fun as taking a container of white powder across an international border could be, I've decided to leave my Focus XT at home. There will be another log entry or two and then a one week hiatus. Thanks for reading, go try this stuff yourself!

I think I will, especially on low carb days I have no motivation or focus on work, I just sit here reading threads on AM. Can't keep doing that or I'll be on the curb soon. Sounds like this exactly what I need. Thanks for a great log!

Come on now, it would be even more fun if you took it out of the container and put it into baggies to carry it with you. (You know, that way you wouldnt have to worry about it containing any banned ingredients in the country you are going to).

I mean really, if they didnt know what the container was, what could go wrong with carrying baggies of white powder across borders on an airplane?

Joking....have a safe trip.

I had missed this post. Since he wasnt willing to do a lego building log, does that mean you will be?

If so, it must come with pictures of all the neat creations you manage to build. :D

LOG DAY TEN

My goal in taking the product today:
Running errands, geting ready for my trip.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 7:00am.

EFFECT: I always have a lot of anxiety before a trip (have I thought of everything???) and today wasn't much different. However, I was focussed and ran my way through various tasks in a methodical way. Nothing extraordinary to report.

However, I decided to give a dose to both of my in-laws who are in their 60s. My mother-in-law reported a dramatic change in her energy and endurance. My father-in-law must be a non-responder because he didn't notice anything at all (so he reported).

I'm going to take a dose before I rush off to the airport at 5:00 am and that will be the last dose for a week. I'm intrigued to see what taking it is like after a week's hiatus......and my body is likely to be run down by the time I return (road food, travel, business related alcohol consumption).

My hotel looks like it has a good gym and I'm hoping to do some hiking around the city but with these events what usually happens is that I spend 10 hours each day in conference rooms under fluorescent lights and then go have drinks with the boss in the evenings.

I might can look into providing the Focus XT if you can provide the legos. Of course, we would require pictures for proof.

This I have to see, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy! I spent many a night putting those little blocks together, thank godness my kids don't want my help now!

LOG DAY ELEVEN

My goal in taking the product today: Keeping myself up and running for a 3000 mile plane trip and meetings into the night upon my arrival.

DOSAGE:
Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 5:00am.

EFFECT:
This was a really nice use of this product........pure mental and physical endurance. I got up before the sun, poured my Focus XT, some protein powder and creatine into a shaker cup and drank it as I drove to the airport. At each step of the trip, something odd or stressful seemed to happen. For some reason, the electronic check-in wouldn't work so I had to wait in line. Once I got to the front of the line, my bag was too heavy (hands over credit card to pay extra $50 fee :hammer: ) but then they wouldn't give me a seat assignment (they gave one to the person in front of and behind me). They tell me to go through security and then they will call my name. I go through security, and get some extra hassle there. Just as the plane is getting ready to leave, they give me a seat and let me board. Once I reached Canada, I got pulled out of the regular customs line and sent to "special services" where I was questioned. Once I cleared "special services" I hadn't walked 20 feet before a different layer of security pulled me aside for additional questioning. Etc. Etc. Etc. It got to the point where my traveling companions joked about not wanting to be seen with me because I was obviously on some watch list.

Nonetheless, throughout it all I remained focussed, calm and energized. I really think this product is great for the type of combination tasks that are physically and mentally draining (road trips, international travel, etc.).

After thinking about how this product helped me on my recent cross continent plane trip, I just ordered another container of Focus XT for a 2500 mile road trip that I'll be taking in a couple weeks. Hopefully this will allow me to make the trip while consuming less roadside diner coffee. :ntome:

LOG DAY TWELVE

My goal in taking the product today: Recovery from a long stressful trip.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 11:00am.

EFFECT: I'd just spent the last week traveling 6000 miles with the time spent in between the two legs of the journey filled with long conferences, crappy conference food (croisonts and coffee) and lots of alcohol each night. I ate like crap, didn't work out, poisoned myself with various spirits and got 4-5 hours of sleep a night. So, on my first morning back I slept in until 11:00 am, woke up groggy and worn-out. I took a dose of Focus XT and ate a healthy breakfast and felt like a human being once again. This wasn't just like taking a stim to get me going despite my ravaged state, it was like my depleted body was nourished and healed. Wonderful.

I am really enjoying seeing the various uses that you are trying the product for. Excellent log.

You said that you purchased another container, will you be continuing the log through that container as well?

I might. I'm beginning to see the bottom of this one (me thinks my wife has been dipping into it because she likes it so much).

I'm going to be on a road trip for a couple weeks with intermittant internet access, so the log might be a tad sporadic....but I'd be happy to keep it going as long as I don't get repetitive and boring.

It would be appreciated. Its an excellent log and I like the variety of uses it encompasses.

LOG DAY THIRTEEN

My goal in taking the product today:
Focus and drive through a day of negotiations.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 7:00am.

EFFECT: I took my Focus XT and an Ergopharm AMP with breakfast and powered through a day of negotiations. At the end, I still felt good and fresh enough to make plans for the next day.

In my opinion, I think you can use a product like this year round as long as you dont use it everyday.

For example, I use it only when I need to. Probably works out to be abotu 4 days per week or so. If I start to feel myself getting a little tolerance to it, I just dont take any for a week or two and I'm good to go again.

LOG DAY FOURTEEN

My goal in taking the product today: Focus and drive through a day of pre-hearing conferences and negotiations.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 7:00am.

EFFECT: I took my Focus XT and an Ergopharm AMP with breakfast and powered through a day of boring pre-hearing conferences and some reasonably productive negotiations. Nothing spectacular.....I just had a lot of grinding mental work to be done and I stayed fresh all day long (and in a good mood too).

AMP + Focus XT is wonderous I have no doubt.

How many caps of AMP?

Just one. I've been playing around a little seeing what kind of "base" the Focus XT makes to add other stims/nootropics to for different effects (AMP, sulbutamine). AMP seemed a natural compliment. I was a little unsure about the sulbutamine but it works very well for me. I have various other stims but am not sure they would be good compliments because I'm concerned that they might overwhelm the effect of the Focus XT by cranking my physical stimulation too much. I'll probably give some of them a try anyway, LOL.

I received my second container of Focus XT yesterday so I'll have it for my road trip. I may not have net access all that much though so logging will be spotty until I return.

LOG DAY FIFTEEN

My goal in taking the product today:
Ummmmmmmmm. No goal really. It's fricking 95 degress and I had a bunch of errands to run.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 9:00am.

EFFECT: It was fricking 95 degrees. I was hot and miserable. Can't blame it on the Focus XT though, LOL. In all seriousness, I did simply power through the 20 stupid things that I needed to do.

Just wanted to wish you a safe trip.

LOG DAY SIXTEEN

My goal in taking the product today: Avoiding ending up a in a car wreck so bad that it would make CNN.

DOSAGE: Per the instructions, one scoop in water at 9:00am.

EFFECT: Delightful. I drove 80 miles per hour for 500 miles only stopping once for gas and the bathroom. I could have kept driving but I was in the mountains, it was getting dark and I was concerned about running out of energy while driving in the middle of nowhere.....but 3 hours later I'm still awake.

Excellent. I have used it for driving as well and really liked it.

Does anyone have any guess to how Focus XT would stack with AI's Chaos?

Chaos is an interesting product, Id be careful not to over do it on the caffeine / Chocamine etc.

I think a half serving of Focus with 1 serving of chaos would make a helluva preworkout punch... I have no idea the flavor of Chaos though.

I will say that I think a full serving of Focus with some CEE would be just as good as mixing the two, and cheaper fwiw.

Nice! I just ordered some Focus yesterday for the first time and I already have the Chaos so I just might have to try doing a little experimenting with both preworkout. Maybe a serving of Focus with a serving of the Non-Caff version Chaos. We'll see...
