It's been forever since I've logged anything, so I this would be a good time and a good product to do it. Now that I'm getting back into semi-serious training again, I've found myself nostalgic for the days when I used to be more active here.
I took USP Labs Super Cissus back in the day and got great results, even though I was in my twenties and not really the best age to benefit from it. I didn't have tons of pain or joint issues. Although it could have been all in my head, I felt like it helped me get through a bad calf injury back then that was the result of going overkill with sprints.
My plan is to start off with 2 caps each day for the first few days and then taper up from there as needed. I will hope to stay in the 4 cap per day neighborhood (3.2 grams per day) and be willing to go all the way up to 6 caps (6.4 grams per day).
My current workout is a simple upper, lower upper split (M/W/F) and off on the weekend. I try to get in at least 2-3 days of cardio with one consisting of 8-10 minutes of high intensity training.
The main things I plan to track here are:
1) Hips : even though I don't have arthritis or any major joint issues here, they have a tendency to get really tight. It doesn't prevent me from doing exercises like squats, leg presses, lunges, etc., but it's one of those things that I would like to get a bit better.
2) Feet : lately I've had something like plantar fascitis where feet ache when i wake up, get better to the point it doesn't hurt to walk, but still aches all day to a certain extent.
3) Strength and Weight Loss : I'm not expecting too much here since this is a lower ketosterone extract -- which is what I wanted for joints, pain, etc., but it will be interesting to see if there is some enhancement in this area.
4) Overall Recovery : I first took Cissus in my twenties when I probably would not have gotten the maximal benefit. I'm in my 40's now, so I feel like there's the potential for a lot more benefits.
