Sleep...

I have broken down, and decided to go to a doctor to figure out what is going on.

I never feel like I sleep enough and sometimes I can sleep a **** load or none at all.

I am going to ask for blood work to check for all of those small possibilities (anemia, that kind of ****) and ask to check for testosterone levels.

It seems as if when I am on cycle, I sleep like a ****ing baby.

Also, I think it would be a good idea to check thyroid function.

Is there anything I am missing?

Sleep Apnea...
Bad bed that doesn’t support you
Excess of stimulants in your day to day life

Well yah, my GF doesn't think it's sleep apnea (since we sleep in the same bed)

The bed is only a year old

And there was a time I cut out all stimulants and what not and it didn't do anything.

Do you watch tv before you go to bed?
Are you overly stressed at work?
Have you tried sleep aids ?

TV in the living, none in the bedroom.

No, I'm hardly ever stressed.

Yes, and they make me fall asleep but I feel the same when I wake up.

Electromagnetic field interference. Seriously .... may sound a little odd but in today's day and age we have way way too many electronic devices in our lives and they all give off EMF and that can seriously effect your sleep. Turn off cell phones and laptops and TV's etc in your bedroom and even switch to an old fashioned wind up alarm clock to ditch the EMF from the digital. I have my DVD player and flatscreen TV on a power strip so that I can turn off the power strip when I go to bed at night to further reduce the EMF. These days most TV's and DVD players etc .... are not really OFF when you turn them off .... they stay on to some degree in a sort of standby mode and that keeps the EMF going. The goal should be ZERO electronic devices powered up in your bedroom when trying to sleep .... that cuts all the EMF out and you can sleep better and deeper. Try it .... it worked for me.

For some light reading try "cross currents" or "the body electric".

Unplug your electronics and if you feel like dumping $500 try a pulsed electromagnetic field device(PEMF) this really nothing more than a coil with dc applied in intervals usually at delta(deep sleep brain wave frequency) or schumann(earth normal ~8hz). I used an earthpulse through power school and rotating shifts. I felt great even on short sleep but not so great when I did not use it(the housing i was in had old crappy wiring with a bad ground) After the first two weeks I thought it might be placebo so one day I was getting ready for work and slid the coil under my wifes side of the bed set it for delta only (she was still sleeping) when I came back home she had slept over 12 consecutive hours.

I have heard of this too. I was having trouble falling asleep (work on computer 8 hrs a day) and and couldn't figure why. I purchased a pair of gamma ray glasses and installed flux on the laptop. Made a big difference overall.

What is this Flux that you speak of?
