Sleep supplements and anxiety

Just wondering if anyone else gets really bad anxiety about 20 mins after taking sleep supplements?

Just started nightmare by insane labs (great name) and I have used mts sleep aid couple months back and both give me crazy anxiety for about 10 mins it's really weird

Like pressure in the chest/stomach, breathing sedated a little, feeling of panic then it goes away... Will write down how I feel next time

That's normal with a lot of sleep aids. Not the anxiety. That’s your response emotionally to the sedation feeling.

Half the dose and see about it.

What's the product?

Maybe look at iconic dream tea. This would be a natural tea that you would sip at night before bed.

I get a somewhat similar feeling from GABA (which is used in many sleep formulas), but GABA is not included in the product that you are taking.

Nightmare by insane labz

Oh, yeah, I went back and re-read that.
Saw the label. It's a prop blend.
I'm not fond of prop blends. (Few exceptions)

I think it's the Valeriana Officinalis.
I'd go 1/4 dose and see how it goes.
Is this the first of this kind of sleep aid you've ever had?

Could also be the mucuna.

I have used MTS Sleep aid and got the same thing, but I didnt get anything like that from Amnesia by Olympus labs (not sure why this is bold now, cbf changing it haha)

I will try 1/4 dose and see how it goes, Thanks!

Yeah, it's the GABA. Haha.
What is it with multiple labels man...?
Chuck that garbage / send it back, but get something with an open label so you know what and how much!

Like I said, Fade Out (open label), and you can dose it light to test it. I take full dose now, but started 1/2.
I like the feels. :)

I don't think taking a sleep supp called nightmare is a good choice to begin with lmao

Agree... terrible, terrible name.

Looks like 2 things here that the rest of the group already nailed: GABA, likely causing the feelings in your chest, and Valerian, which seems to make some people (me included) a little twitchy/restless.

I'd STOP using this. It's clearly not helping you. Find some single ingredient products and see what you like (melatonin, diphenhydramine, etc).

I didn't know that about valerian. Good to know!

Thanks for info guys, yeah the name is pretty messed up for a sleep supplement haha, like calling a pre-work out "heart attack" or "death" lol.

I only got it because it was on sale and I haven't been sleeping lately. I can't go to bed before 12am otherwise I wake up multiple times before 12 then throughout the night/morning.

I have tried to set a routine for a month or so a few times like going to bed earlier and mediation/aromatherapy etc but nothing works.

I'll suss out the dream teA and fade out, p.s I tried nightmare again last night at half dose and didn't get any sides

Yup, it is a common side effect from GABA and I get it myself and that is why my GABA can in my support cabinet can is getting really old without emptying lol
