Does taking whey protein Isolate with skim milk slow digestion time? I am wondering this because I know that regular milk does with the fat in there but since skim milk is fat-free, it shouldn't. Just trying to be sure.
why wouldn't it. of course milk (any type of milk, 1%, 2%, skim, fat free, etc.) mixed with whey protein powder will slow digestion time and ultimately assmilation and uptake, compared to whey powder just mixed with water. milk consists of 80% casein, which is well known for it's slow digestion times. as well, higher fat milk (though i only speculate) will slow those times even more because of the fat content.
