I have been reading a lot of studies on the use of DMAA in preworkouts. From what I read, it functions primarily as a vasoconstrictant and redirects blood flow to the brain. Although DMAA acts like an amphetamine such as adderall, and even shares a similar molecular structure as adderall, the dosage for DMAA is much higher to get the same results as aderall. The negative side effects of DMAA are high blood pressure, possibility of stroke or heart attack, and reduced oxygen delivery to muscles among others.
Sildenaphil on the other hand works almost completely opposite as DMAA. It functions primarily as a vasorelaxant. It dilates epicardial coronary arteries (reducing blood pressure), improves endothelial dysfunction and enhances oxygen delivery to the muscles.
Since both of these molecules function quit differently, I am wondering if anyone has had any experience taking the two before a workout. I personally think it would be a very bad idea, but I don't know. Maybe people take sildenaphil to offset the high blood pressure caused by DMAA. Has anyone every tried this? What was your experience?
