Give you my experience when you suffer with high cortisol, as I have had adrenal fatigue for a long time that is finally being controlled:
-Severely high heart rate and rhythm.
-Knot in your throat.
-Unable to fall asleep and may feel quite fatigued.
-Holding more fat and water retention in lower abdomen.
-Vision might be off.
I noticed severely high cortisol symptoms in the gym when I was on an AAS cycle. Finishing some sets in the gym, my heart rate would get so extremely high I would almost pass out. It's another reason I avoid stimulants at all costs, I took No-Xplode while on a Deca cycle and got really messed up.
