So I'm trying to understand shredding and trying to do it right.. I'm in law enforcement so it's veererrrrr hard.. Lol..is eating vegetables and chicken good enough...I know I need some carbs but can I have meals without carbs in it,

What about being in law enforcement makes it any harder than anyone else?

The biggest factor for losing fat is being in a caloric deficit. Calculate your tdee, find your maintenance calorie level, and subtract a small amount. This will put you in a deficit.

You can play with the macro balance depending on what your body responds to but it will take some tinkering to perfect it for specifically your body.

What boon said. Once you figure it out you can subtract 200-400 calories and go from there. Once that progress has halted you can look into supplements to help assist from there. The key will be diet and exercise consistently.

Being in law enforcement makes it difficult because it's hard to eat clean..
I'm not in an office, I'm in areas that don't have the healthiest choices of food...

No matter where you work there is always temptation. Take food w u in a cool bag if necessary. Don't allow your mind to give you excuses of why you can't achieve the physique u want.
Surely being in law enforcement would be a good incentive to not only be fit and healthy but to also look the part?!

If you're on the go a lot for work I would look into getting a nice cooler or bag, like a 6-Pack Bag, so you can carry your food with you on the go. There is never an excuse to let your diet be lagging, unless you can't afford food. But if you can afford to eat out for lunch every day, then I'm certain you can afford to buy some groceries. Ronnie Coleman was in law enforcement, and he's on of the best bodybuilders of all time. There's no excuse.

If you fail to prepare then you should prepare to fail.

If you're trying to get shredded, keep your carbs around your workouts (pre, intra, and post). Count your calories and macros and adjust them accordingly to how you feel, how you look in the mirror, and what the scale says.

Ok so not to be rude but how does that make it hard to eat clean. Ronnie Colman was an officer for like ten years or more while winning Olympia's sound like a little bit of an excuse to me

Thats garbage reasoning. I'm a consultant and on the road (in different countries!) almost 100% of the time... I eat clean every day. Go to grocery stores instead of mcdonalds, find better items on the menus at places you do go, or hell, pack your own food!

Something you could try that ive done before is pretty much do like u said in the first post. Just eat chicken and veggies and then carbs based around your workout meals only.
