Should teens cut?

I've gotten some good muscle mass foundation built and I've started cutting about 4 or so months ago and am closer to the six pack than ever, but I was recently told that I should aim to eat at maintenance rather than a deficit and I will continue to lean out. Is this true, should I eat at maintenance or should I continue the deficit, reach my goals and then go to eating at maintenance?

I don't see anything wrong with finishing your cut so long as you are not using a bunch of supplements. there are very few supplements anyone under the age of 18 should use. I think as long as you are relying solely on diet and exercise its actually an awesome time for you to master the whole process. youre young so you have a lot of anabolic hormones being produced by your body to put to good use. I think once you've reached your body fat % goal then you can see easier what you have to work with in respect to your genetics and the amount of mass you have acquired thus far. that's of course saying that once you reach your goal you will then want to take it to the next level like most folks. one thing you might do to keep your metabolism running hot is have a week off dieting now that you've been at it for a few months. just eat normally. don't pig out or anything. but have a piece of cake and some ice cream, maybe some pizza or hamber and fries. just eat 3 normal meals a day and back off on your training a notch to let the system kinda heal and reset.
after this you should be pretty set up to push through until you reach your goal. also make sure you are not eating less than 500 under maint. this will help you carve out the fat nice and slow allowing you to hold as much mass as possible. some guys like to lose a lb a week. I think if your metabolism is high enough 2 lbs a week could be lost with out going below those 500 cal deficit.

And what if a teen is very hungry during the day?

Then nutrition needs to be checked! Even on a cut you shouldn't get "very hungry" if you're eating nutrient dense foods! Yes, a little hunger here and there is fine and normal but not in excess...either deficit is too high or you need to switch up the types of food you eat!

this is very solid advice.. try switching your food sources to slower burning variety.

for example.. for break fast you can try to consume a nutrient dense calorie heavy meal that will carry you through to lunch. some thing like a couple slices of daves bread toasted with natural peanut butter. 1 cup of oat meal with 2 scoops of whey glass of orange juice and water.
something like this will stick to your ribs and last you several hours. at least until lunch time. at which point you will want to emulate the same type of meal again to hold you over till your afterschool snack.
