I learned a new word today...lol:

as·cet·ic (É™-sÄ•t'Ä*k)
n. A person who renounces material comforts and leads a life of austere self-discipline, especially as an act of religious devotion.

adj.
  1. Leading a life of self-discipline and self-denial, especially for spiritual improvement.
  2. Pertaining to or characteristic of an ascetic; self-denying and austere: an ascetic existence.

I have most of the staples in bulk at home.

70lbs ground turkey
30lbs instant potatoes
10lbs oats
20 boxes oatmeal
5 Sam's club size boxes of rice
10lbs of assorted pasta

I had 100lbs of ground turkey but I go through about 1lb of ground turkey every other day, sometimes a pound a day. I buy so much of this because a friend of mine can get really cheap ground turkey that is getting ready to be thrown out from the manufacturer before it goes to the store because they can only keep it a predetermined amount of time, it is still good meat so I just deep freeze it in 1lb increments. I can usually get about 10lbs of ground turkey for $3.00 so you can see why I buy it in bulk.

things I buy at the grocery each week would be bagels, milk, eggs, chicken breasts, etc..
