Semi Annoyed While Cutting...

I'm sort of banging my head against the wall here guys and I' m in need of some advice. No real back story is required here I guess so I'll give you the starting facts. My weight before I started to cut was roughly 205-207 @ 15% in the evening w/shoes, shorts, and sweatshirt. My weight now (8 weeks later) Is right around 198-201 with the same previously mentioned variables.I'm 6'0".

Despite being right around 1lb weekly for loss, I just don't see as much as I expected from those 7-10 lbs. Is this pretty typical or am I missing something?

I'm 27. I've been working out for 5-6 years. There have been a couple 6 month periods where life did not allow me the honor of working out, but I've been hanging in there pretty solid for the last couple years. I tore my AC joint in Feb of 2011 and it still bothers me sometimes. I've just went back to doing barbell bench within the last month pretty much pain free.

I've been on a "recomp" for a year and a half and it's high time I stop making excuses for why I don't look the way I want to look. While the recomp has definitely payed off in the area of muscle belly size and shape, I'm just not as lean as I want to be. My goal in the upcoming 6 months is 195lbs @ 10-11%. This is obviously going to require that I put on a couple lbs of muscle along the way.

I've changed a few things in regards to training. I've started to phase out the over abundance of isolation movements. While I do train for aesthetics, I don't use gear. I am just now coming to terms with the fact that I need to start incorporating more compound exercises if I want the above average athletic build I have been chasing.

I guess I am just at the point where I feel like I may be losing too much. I'm torn between following through with the original plan and going back to eating a few hundred more cals a day. I'm trying my best to stay the course.
