That's awesome to hear, Sean. Hoping you have your bench up past me again soon! Time to get healthy and strong

So if Israetel calls for 10-20 working sets per body part per week....would deadlifts and squats be considered different body parts?

Also, thoughts on rep range for secondary/assistance squat day, keeping in mind this is a strength block?

Eh going to keep reps low and go for a touch of volume. I'll just make this day CAT Squat & Deadlift

haha I didn't see, but that ****in sucks! not to talk crap on a guy that can do it with 4 plates because he's stronger than I'll ever be, but it wasn't that flawless of form...

is there a link?

That was more graceful than I wouldve been trying to ditch 405 on bss.

Form wasn't even that bad. I just gotta wonder why you're pushing BSS that hard.

My thoughts exactly.

That was badass but I would be so furious getting hurt on something basically included to keep me healthier. That is not a movement I'd push ever, not at that rep range at least.

Most likely a part of getting his motor patterns back after tearing his labrium and strengthening the weaker side.

There is research showing the potential for single leg strength to be at around 75% of bi lateral strength also.

I will edit this and say that he was most likely recovered at this point so pushing it makes no sense to me also. I'm gonna be using it for similar reasons he did but once I'm ready to push bi lateral squats bss will be more a maintance movement and not something I'd push that hard.

Yeah going that heavy on unilateral leg work. BSS or lunges doesn't make sense to me at all.. It's gonna eventually end bad.

I'll do some light overhead dumbell pressing on the first bench day of the week.

I'm pleased with every single lift I've had this week. Today is the best my shoulders have felt and I feel like some strength is coming back. The dumbells felt like they were toy weights today. Everything in my upper back moved correctly. No shoulder irritation.

Good stuff there. Nothing but huge positives in that last paragraph.

I call bs

Lol yeah like someone at Jesse's level is just indiscriminately taking whatever Preworkout he likes carelessly and THAT is what he popped for. Alright Carl Lewis. Because nobody else thinks that it's funny that an all-time world record holder also happens to be drug-free, thereby not only besting every other male on unlimited drugs ever in the world but ALSO doing it naturally. Give me a break. I was born at night, not last night.

What Norris has done is crazy impressive, but his bullsh*t level is over 9,000.

I think he's retarded for taking craze (if that's really what he popped for) considering their shady as hell past....

But I had to get offline after seeing it bc so many people who are always butt hurt about Jesse are all over this right now. I hate the Internet quite often.

I'm not butt hurt about his accomplishments after all the things that hav e gone down in the past in various sports I simply don't belive anyone anymore

If you asked me yesterday morning who the best 198 in the world was, I'd say Jesse. You ask me right now? Yeah, it's still Jesse.

It's not all butthurt. Popping in a tested fed shows a big disservice to guys like Sean who are trying to do big things while walking the high road.

That WADA panel is massive, and I believe IPF tests him year round. He's still strong as fuk. Just dumb for taking Craze right before a meet.

Tren base, like test suspension. In and out, no ester metabolites. Mechano Growth Factor. To say nothing of true designer compounds out there we don't know of, those are just dirt cheapies. Year round testing can be beaten, rather simply. Just fyi

So it looks like dedicated power training will start taking size off nearly immediately - according to this a lifter trying to make weight would want to start his dedicated peak further out, while someone trying to hold size would want to keep to a strength range as long as possible before a comp?

This is pretty cool, Sean!

You have to first understand what they mean by power and speed training. Power and speed training (as they are defined in the exercise world) hold little value in the realm of powerlifting (where power doesn't really matter, it's all about technique, neural efficiency, and absolute strength). Peaking requires training loads in excess of 90% (followed by active rest the week of). Those loads do not effectively train speed or power. None of this really matters. Just sayin

Training for "power" would be useless. But I think speed training has its place.

Training for "speed" necessitates loads in the 25-40% 1RM range. What you're referring to would be the typical dynamic work that powerlifters confusingly call speed work (I know I sound like an asshat I'm just clarifying). The first is useless for powerlifting. The second has its merits if programmed correctly.
