Yeah usually I'd wake up the same weight. Last night, 1am, and twice this morning-I had a solid piss stream. The only difference is that I water loaded through Thursday instead of tapered to a gallon.
 
So no taper, just slam. That sounds logical. In my head, I'd think you want to keep your body out of the loop on what you're doing until the last minute. No adjustment period.
 
I like my VS Athletics. I'm actually going to narrow my stance and go back to them for a month or so after the meet. Website says a size 10 is 3.3cm so 1.3inch.

I personally didn't like Romaleo's but because I have fat flat feet. I know bolt10 likes them. Pendlays might be a good choice herderdude

I've got Adipowers. 3/4" heel and I love them. Romaleos are pretty sweet tho too. The newer Pendlays were on sale for 100 recently so that's a little cheaper option too(I know a few ppl who love theirs).

I never feel fed enough on meet day and my nerves usually don't let me eat so....fixed that.

It wasn't in the stars today. I buried every attempt but 685 was slower than anticipated. Opted for 715 instead and failed.

Excuses: Things just didn't work out. I'm feeling tired, only a few hours of sleep. The guy before me ditched the bar on the straps so I had to wait a few extra minutes in wraps for them to unload and load. Bad unracks all day. The cradle is double grooved where the bar lays so I couldn't dig into the cradle arms like I normally do. Once I got stability regained it felt great on my back and not suffocating, the descent was perfect. No wobble, good depth, just couldn't get my hips into it.

Bottom line: I wasn't strong enough. It was cool lifting right next to Greg Panora in the lineup though.

Since a PR total was out of the question, I hit a 135 bench. Not sure how deadlifts will go. We'll see.
 
Sorry to hear 715 wasn't there but wise choice to save your gas for a deadlift PR. Your pulling, following on paper here, has been tremendous this cycle.

Also pretty dope to be lifting alongside Panora!

My second lowest total and my worst meet to date. I look forward to April. I'm out of the coast guard come January so I'll have plenty of lifting time.

Sounds like sand is pouring down my neck when I walk. Sweet.
 
Sorry it didn't go as you'd hoped. They all won't be amazing, but I know you'll bounce back in the future.
 
Also, I hear it's pretty hard to break a world record...
 
Time to be healthy and get that bench and dead fixed, still a great squat for a subpar day.
 
Thanks a lot guys. I'm just summing it up as lack of sleep during the week and just flat out not being ready for it. Everyone has "off" days. I'm done being upset over it. All it did was make my desire to re-break it even greater.

And since sitting on the couch and eating pizza isn't going to make me stronger...

And THEN I sat on the couch and ate pizza.

Going to start watching my diet again. Light prowler sprints tomorrow. I'm just going to do some light work all week to get my joints feeling good. Then next week I'll start training again. Next big meet meet is April.
