- I'm drained from last night so I felt fairly sloppy today and not much speed off the chest. I'm still happy that I'm progressing pain-free for the most part. AC joint is cranky again, but that side's pec is tight so that's probably why.

When you say "bench mimicked lat pulldown," you mean you're tucking and flaring and leaning back so you can row to your sternum?

That's at a gym with a bunch of geared lifters and a few elite raw guys. If traffic weren't bad that direction, Id be lifting there. Oh well.

You should go visit. Maybe learn something from some stronger guys; could be beneficial if somebody really experienced sees something you're not seeing in your own technique. Call em up and find out when you can get in on a max effort lower session. You're strong enough to hang (or at least hang on for the ride), and you're no dummy.

I'm just going to guess its to lessen the risk of broken tailbones.

I assumed that because the heavy *** weight, but he looks like he's in control of it the whole time so I didn't know if there was something else.
 
Mental security. I know how far to back up to the box (when walking it out, I step back until I feel the foam touch the inside of my thighs) I'm less prone to "plop" if I feel contact with something the last few inches (though I plopped with 612). Really no difference between foam/no foam besides that, IMO.
 
Definitely a sweet lift. Imagine if you free squatted to that depth with your wraps!
 
I think other shoes may have also contributed to the fibular head pain I had. Or it was from playing ping pong at work.... it was one of those lol

The rolling out on the ankles can cause some stress to the connective tissue and supporting muscles of the fibula especially at the weight that you use.

That's what I figured. Hopefully this alleviates that. The pain is long gone, but it'll still click every now and then. I'll continue wrapping it when I squat.

Keep drinking homeboy. Hope the squirts end and you get your strength back asap. Take it easy; definitely no time to be training. Maybe you can squeak the primary work into another workout this week, and if not don't sweat it. Kind of out of your control.
 
I actually don't mind grape Pedialyte lol The popcicles are all tasty, though.

Once your kids start getting sick, you tend to taste every single product in front of them in hopes to lure them into taking it themselves without force, so you learn what you like and don't like. Bubble Gum Motrin is pretty good, too.

I'm starving, but can't stomach anything. Probably only had 2k calories yesterday and then today.

I have 2" block pulls at 585/600 tomorrow, so this shît better pass. Literally.
