Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Makes sense to me. Looking at it a few times again, I agree.

I just want this week to be over with.

Last heavy squat was tonight. Did no accessory, and that was my last real session. Bloodflow workout tomorrow, gonna keep it light and low volume for 35 min or so, and I'll practice my technique w/ ultralight stuff a few time this week. But it just feels like a waiting game til Saturday now. I hate full deloads, because I don't even have lifting to distract me from my excitement/nerves.

Here:
Green 2050, Duffin 2039 (not counting today)

We'll see how Duffin's elbows/grip holds up.

He definetly raised the bar, no pun intended, with the squat record. 881 and #2 spot is 804 then 782. Except Lilliebridge Jr hit 800 today in training, who had the 782

Those 3 are super close in totals. Make it great to check it out. I just wished they'd do the same meets when it gets to the tops like that. Incredible none the less. I think Dan just had or is up for a meet soon. I forget.

Dan's going against Zahir Khaydaryev Danaerys Targaryen whatever the eff at 242 in Australia at GPC World's, which will be an unreal meet. Zahir hit 860 for 3 on squat the other day and his last meet he was only two and a half kilos from Dan's record.

Yeah, I saw that.

Should be a good meet, I really wish I could see it in person.

Duffin missed the total record, failed 748 right before lockout. (He was pulling conventional, said sumo pulling has been aggravating the elbow he had surgery on)

Thanks buddy. I'm going wrapless for the next week weeks after this meet.

Bodyweight is 222, and has been the last month. 3150kcal has been perfect for maintaining weight.

I decreased my foot flare, making it easier for me to spread the floor. Depth was barely there but the time off this week and the chiro Thursday will do the trick.

They're monkey gripped. I think it just looks that way because the shoe is compressing.

That being said, I don't want shoes that compress like that.

Okay I was just checking because I suck at spreading the floor and am trying to find ways to stop this collapsing knee thing. Thank you young spartan.

Hmm monkey grip it. I always thought of it as gripping the floor. For you, maybe, just think about throwing your knees out second you're leaving the hole?

Yea I'll continue working in it. Just hard to tell if it is a technique issue or muscle imbalance. Thanks man.

Would box squats help with the spreading cue? Sort of slow things down to focus more?

Interesting idea. All I'll be doing pretty much is squats so I'll throw em in! Thanks AZ

And I was thinking the pauses today may help
