Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Question for the guru: my right shoulder sits lower than my left and tilts forward. I mash everything in the upper body, but the problem remains. There's got to be something wrong with my scap or humerus. Any thoughts?

Do you have scoliosis? Is your right pec and anterior delt super tight?

Just throwing this out...
I have had a similar sounding thing and viding myself walking, from the back I had rt shoulder droop. How is your hip/pelvis line? Feet/leg length while lying down on stomach and raising your feet at knees to look at shoe bottoms? (someone else would have to look for you actually)
When I put a correctional wedge (maybe 1/2 inch) in my one shoe, (forced correction) it took some of it away. Chiro might be able to give you more info, since, I was told to only wear it until my pelvis evened up. Maybe a month or so, then re-checked.

I have noticed that when I squat, one foot appears shorter than the other when I get into stance. It was suggested that this may be due to hip misalignment. Piriformis mashing has seemed to help subside this anomaly a bit, though I think flossing may be the next component necessary in my ever mounting PWO mobility

Kstarr had a vid where he had his athlete lay flat back while holding a kettle bell straight up with locked elbow. His shoulder girdle looked better after several mins of doing this. May try this

That'll feel good. Also check out SuperD's Setting the Shoulder. He does the same thing, but with a band. Also, hit up some Eric Cressey thoracic and scapula mobility crap

Yeah, I do not see a chiro much anymore. (Have a good friend that is one but he is not near me anymore) but I think a good bit of mine was tension and working in certain positions, where your body gets used to, or adjusts to those skewed positions. He did have me wear a forced correction wedge in one shoe for a little while.
When he would check my leg length, there were times when the left was longer. He would do a few trigger point and or toggle adjustments in my hips, and neck and recheck and my hips would even out and the leg length would be pretty much perfect.
Probably another reason why some hip mobility stuff or at least some trigger point, ART and some stretching helps with keeping some alignment in our body.

There is a chrio in town I'm thinking of stopping just because we get to visits a month with our insurance so I mite as well use it right

throneof, sounds like a postural issue from the guitar playing. You spent countless hours in that position I bet, now you have to undo all that time spent in that unbalanced position.

5 Days Out

About 45 min worth of MFR and mobility on the hips. Wide stance depth is pain free ATM. Trigger point work around rotator cuff.

I think it helps with the mind/muscle connection for sure. More you think about it, the more you make it possible.

Athletes who practice in their minds using the visualization technique are better performers, science!

Besides ammonia, that's my only psych-up technique.

Because I'm tired of not being in the gym

Squat
315 for a couple doubles

Sumo
315 for a couple doubles

Every set supersetted with Facepulls.

Tri set:
External rotations on shoulders
Xband walk
Reverse hyper

I had some random knee and hip aches off an on this week. I think I narrowed the hip ache down to a tight spot on my lumbar, just above the pelvic bone. Once I hit that, my hips actually opened up better. As for the knees, I think it was related to not mashing my shins and calves for a couple weeks, so now that's gone. I wanted to see where I stood in terms of joint health today so I hit the 315's and felt very good. And a third positive note, my left RC no longer shows any signs of irritation when doing Facepulls or ext rotations.

I'm getting a but tired of CBL for the mere fact that I want to plow carbs all day long. BUT I've had a couple people comment and say that I've lost weight, even though I'm still 220. Recomp?

Well I'm still eating 400g in the evening lol

I finished up 8 weeks of Anabeta elite last week and I'll be starting a Evomuse Myosenergy log quite soon.

Interesting. Supplements probably are helping, but obviously diet is the key contributor to this. I find it crazy you can plow that many at night and recomp. I'll have to read up on this when I get time bc I know little about it. Good stuff

Edit: why does it bleep out p ussy? Lol what if I write ***** cat?

Double edit: that's ridick lol

Myosynergy sounds interesting - interested to hear what you think

Nice job re recomp.

What did you think of the Anabeta? Did you use Erase with it?

I think that was my 4th 8 week run of it and I have 4 more bottles in my cabinet. I like it.

The old erase ruined my knees and libido while I was on it. I only ran the new version for a month and noticed some leaning towards the 3rd week.

Chiro is done. Full body percussive adjustment and even more brutal Gratson done. Still a crap load of crap tissue on my left pec, which he says is what's causing my AC problem.

He doesn't say. The first couple visits left me bruised all over. Now it doesn't bruise as easily and I feel perfectly fine. So, I'd say you're good to lift right after.

Good stuff. And the chest thing is interesting. On my left arm that is sore a lot I find really sore spots all along the clavicle. Interesting.

I've been having knee pain, mashed my calves with a barbell resting on top. Nearly fixed.

I need a super buddy to help keep me healthy...

How long do they recommend waiting to workout a muscle or joint they worked on?

I'd wait a day at least, getting Graston or soft tissue and then lifting that day will not bode well.

Erase pro also wrecked my knee and libido last summer. That was a 75 mg dose though, which was foolish of me. I'm thinking of doing a 25 mg dose next time around

New Erase shouldn't wreck the joints. Glad to hear it didn't mess Sean's up.

I'll hijack and mention I'm going to be logging MyoSynergy as well so everyone better check my log too. ;)

Yup. Titan sucks. I called and they laughed at me when I asked if it could be shipped this week. What retailer doesn't ship an in stock product within days of an order? When I ordered my Titan Ram, I called a week later and they said they forgot to ship it.

Amazon got it in to me though. The straps are the same cut/appearance as a squat suit, so hopefully no one gives me **** lol

I was gona say go somewhere that stocks them. I got my belt from lifting large quick and I think they had Titan singlets. But amazon is the best.
