Sean's Powerlifting Journey

They were good. I literally just took my uniform off, threw shorts on, and did it. Was easy and didn't take long and still got my heart rate going. I think it'll give me something to do in addition of farmers walks and core work.

Welcome to my belly, Carbs.

Glad you liked em, they become quite addicting, and work as great finishers too. When was the last time 95lbs made ya feel tired?!!

Last night was pizza, just because I wanted pizza. I work a lame schedule so I'll eat whatever's leftover at work when I'm there. At home it'll most likely be pasta/rice (still cooking for a fam) and I'll dirty it up how I want. Cereal, frozen yogurt, pancakes, whatever. Tonight was an assload of spaghetti, cereal, tortilla chips, and OJ.

Lol! Today was DQ for me. Cheeseburger basket, 4 piece strip basket, small double fudge cookie dough blizzard.

Chick-fil-a, ice cream, and some epic red velvet cupackes for me today.

I am not doing carb backloading though. :o

I had 5 slices cheese pizza, root beer, and "cookie explosion" cake yesterday. Popped a couple recompadrol prior to the indulgence. I am not cutting or backloading either

Large chicken breast, bacon, ham, pepper, onion, bbq pizza with cinnamon sticks and two servings of icing here. It was an off day, too :(

We're all fatty's.

Well, squat day. I did overload sets with wide stance and flat sole. Now I'm starting to actually think I'm stronger that way.

I'll have videos up in a bit. I'll let you all judge bar speed and depth.

Had me a real good pie myself last night. Took mom out and she actually had a beer with me. She is 93...!
Must of had a sodium overload though, as I was drinking water like a... I mean I drank a lot of water afterwards.

Managed depth with a wide stance. I just had to endure the forward lean a second longer.

Static hamstring, hip flexor, and piriformis stretch.

I'll hit abs tomorrow.

What a great, but long, day. You'll see why I'm concerned over choosing an optimal squat stance. I'm under 2 months out so I need to decide fast. I'm slightly apprehensive about switching, but I need do what's strongest. Wide stance had zero stick points. Moderate stance did. Zero issues with the Nike's. Alternated my toe angle to a more forward angle as I had in the past. I just need to get used to them.

Also, this was my first heavy day since backloading carbs. It actually felt no different than my usual "cram as much food as possible beforehand" diet.

I've been considering carb back loading for after my competition. Try and lean out a bit. So I'm very interested to see how your strength holds up.

Hopefully strength still increases. If I feel it take a hit, I'm stopping it ASAP. I've still been in a caloric surplus though.

I've never had issues with strength drop even with keto. My first keto diet, I was doing Doggcrapp. Got strong, lean, and added mass.

Wide stance seems to be the way to go if you can do it, which you obviously can.. You got the hip strength to do it, while some guys can't because they are more quad dominant.

Killing it Sean.

And with the pulls, do you have a pick? I don't understand what exactly it, are?

Could be. I know the RDL's for me, get pretty bitchy without any real quad at all.
