Capo **** was boss. Sucks Byrd bombed, but he did set a record. JTS/animal guys kicked some ass.
 
Is it me or did Lillys bench look really easy albeit lopsided as hell.

troop I see what you mean about the squat but I think it looks a little different when your legs are so thick. bony knee flat with hips the size of school buses is gona be tough haha. It was just barely there though.
 
Almost looks like he was mighty close to not going parallel on that squat. With that much weight though, damn.


Brandon Lilly ALWAYS squats right to depth at meets, and not a millimeter below. He has scoliosis, so one hip gets deep and the other one stays high. Still gets 3 whites most of the time. To be perfectly honest, the judging was definitely set up for us to see big numbers. No one got called on squat depth, the press calls were quick, and I thought for sure Lilly wasn't going to get whites for that 815 deadlift.

EDIT: Just saw the video. I think it's plenty good. Not buried, but certainly not high.

Super jealous, man. Hotwire has really cheap deals for the weekend in York, I was looking at them when I was going to do the meet in Lancaster. Two possibilities are a 1000# full meet bench and a 3000 total. That would be unreal to see. I've only ever seen 605/775/760 in person, by three different people at two different meets.

Depending on how today goes, I'll lift in the evening. Stress takes it's toll (sleep/diet/mentality) Good news is, I'm under 210 lol
 
Wow, 198 is looking more doable now. Let's see how the strength level goes.
 
I think it's also the angle of the video that doesn't do Lilly's lift justice. If you watched the competition, the video was not at an odd angle to the monolift, and you could see him hit depth better.

We'll see tonight if I took a hit from the last 3 days off and Gatorade diet. I don't want to murder anyone today (yet...and jk?) so I should have it in me to go to the gym later.

Figure if I can shave maybe 5 more lbs off slowly as possible than I can just trash bag myself before weighins for the rest. I plan on eating at maitenance and increasing expenditure a few times per week via conditioning.

Lose weight via conditioning, I like your style! Sub 210 is a real nice spot to be in two months out.
 
Sean, just be careful about your supplement regimen. I know I probably should have thought twice about this, but when I started dieting for my upcoming comp I went from 260 to 243 pretty comfortably with about 8 weeks out. I then started taking Anabeta, and, well, I'm up at 254-257 now :( Very much leaner, but I'm still heavier than I sort of wanted to be.

I then started taking Anabeta, and, well, I'm up at 254-257 now :( Very much leaner, but I'm still heavier than I sort of wanted to be.

Doesn't it suck when you put on lean weight (who the hell knows where though?!) but you don't really want to have that weight when it comes down to it, especially with you guys trying to fit weight classes. I just did the same thing, through on about 10 pounds over the summer here and I don't know where from. Dialing back the diet a little now.

Nice OHP Sean but yeah, that weight is not supposed to cross the vertical plane... Ha JK. I have OHP today and I'll throw up a vid for you. That's what my original issue was. I was taking Alphamine for 8 weeks and started Anabeta 2 weeks into the end of it and unwillingly recomped. Anabeta will be finished in a month and after that I'll be taking Prime and maybe Alphamine again. My supplementation the last 3 days has been zero, besides BCAA/SAA and G8

Yup. Off week all together. Not worried. Experiencing the worst DOMS ever now

That's how Ive felt all week. Sore all over after not lifting a single thing last week.

Didn't get a vid of my OHPs last night. Damn PL corner of my gym was packed full of swinging dicks. But I did press my training max for a triple then push pressed it 5 more times. Probably pushed it more than I should have but oh well...

So my hips feel incredible. You'll see my stance width on the first 2 sets. Was lifting with the gym owner and he recommended bringing it in to get my knees over my ankles more. I didnt feel as strong off the floor but I may have gotten my hips to the bar quicker. What do you guys think?

Deads look good man. May have felt slow, but looked fast off the floor. Look pretty straight up too.

I mobilized the crap out of my hip flexors with the strong band and then I did the SuperD hip alignment with a strong band pulling on my groin away from me, and light band around my ankle pulling towards my head. Then I laid on the ground with the strong band wrapped around my foot and I scooted as far back as I could so the band was pulling my leg parallel to the deck away from my body the entire time. Stood right up and I was good after that.

Made it as fast of a workout as I could. I feel pretty wrecked from the last two workouts after the crap week. Getting the blood moving in there felt great though.
 
My gym is a key club. I'm there alone tonight. Woman walks in with her dog in her backpack asking for the owner. I give her his number, they talk for 20 minutes and then she sits there wondering around by me. She starts talking and says she's from Vegas, worked for big pharma to make some anti-aging genetic treatment crap in China. Says her company makes billions. Babbles on and on about it. She asked what I do. I said Coast guard. She then gives me a hug, says thank you. Then says she specializes in massage therapy for veterans and would love to give me a massage. She tells me to touch her face. I say no. She says she doesn't mind chalk. So I touch her ****ing face, leaving a huge chalk print. Then she says "see, so you like my skin? it doesn't feel like I'm almost 50, does it?"

I get on Facebook, texting the gym owner over it, how this woman is nuts, he's laughing, asking for pictures. She takes my number, email, and phone so she can open up her companies website (which doesn't open anyways) on my phone and shows me some 20 minute YouTube video that the discovery channel made about her company

Oh, and her dog was running around the gym the whole time
