Hey guys, planning a little trip to Santa Cruz around spring break. I was just curious if you guys had any insight on where the hot spots are(nightlife bars, activities, etc.). I will hold off on booking my hotel, because I want to be in the heart of it all. I have never been there before and I am planning on staying there a few nights. Any help would be appreciated.
 
What brings you this way? Don't set your expectations too high, SC is a lay back hippie town your best bet for entertainment is on Pacific Avenue down town... you cant stop by Catalyst for live music many bands stop by there not sure if its your type... other than that take a walk up and down pacific, its a really nice street, lots of places to eat and the local crowd sure is unique :) I used to work on that street and really love it. Go spend some time on the beach boardwalk or whichever, take a walk on west cliff, stop by natural bridges park. Hit Capitola its a nice little town too.

Im from Eugene, OR so im used to the laid back hippy area, just not used to any beaches. The pictures look beautiful down there, also I heard Monterey is another cool town to check out. Thanks for the feedback man.
