Running shoes

I'm about to start upping my cardio by adding in jogs in the morning, plus it will help to wear out my pup. That being said I'm about to pick up a new pair of running shoes and was just going to see if y'all have some suggestions! I've got a pair of the adidas energy boost and they are phenomenal but extremely worn out. Any thoughts?

If you found something that you like how it fits, get it again. It also depends on what surface you plan to run on (pavement, dry dirt trails, or muddy trails) and how you run (forefoot strikes, heel strikes first).

In my opinion going cheap is the wrong answer. My brand is Salomons. New they run $120+ but last years models you can get for 75-100. The S-Lab upper they have designed hugs the mid foot perfectly for me, while I still have plenty of room in the toe box.

If your trying to narrow a few things down, I would recommend starting here: runrepeat.com

Great in depth reviews from real runners.

Yeah it is just tough to find the original adidas energy boost now, I have a buddy that works at a high end running shoe store in the ritzy part of Houston and he suggested mizunos wave riders. Will generally be running on pavement. Thanks for the sight suggestion!

Some of the running stores have a treadmill that they'll have you jog on so they can see how you tend to run and can make good suggestions off of that. Typically the shoes in those stores are expensive, but could be a good investment.

This. Figure out your running style and choose the correct shoe for you and it is well worth the investment if you plan on any reasonable amount of running.

All these comments are correct, gotta get the best pair based on your foot shape and stride...I have deep arches with a medium stride so for running I use Brooks Ghost 5s, I love em.

Well fortunately I don't have to worry now, my buddy hooked me up with 6 pairs. One of them being the energy boosts that I like
