When baseball starts, i'll have taken 10 days off. My knees feel fine now, so anything else is just a bonus.

Congrats on the .455 so far. Thats decent i guess..:thumbsup:

I might bump it up a bit cuz I will be burning so many duirng baseball, Ive got nothing to worry about.

Ended up at .458 for the trip. Hopeing to ride that wave thru the season.

I gained 12lbs down in Florida :jaw: Carb rebound and water retention from buffet's 2-3x's/day is what I attribute it too,lol. I'll see where I come in at on wed.

It took me ~7 weeks to do what you did in a week. :blink: lol crazy stuff though.

Yep sophomore for baseball but have close to 90credit hours earned, I may cry when I transfer and go back down to 60 :sad:. I faced a few pitches that had already been drafted in the top 20 rounds too, it was a good trip. One team we played had 5 starters that had been drafted out of High School.

Like I said I'll chalk all of that weight gain to mostly glycogen replenishment, water, a little fat, and Im going out ona whim and saying a little muscle,lol. I hadn't eaten any carbs in the 14days prior to leaving for FL.
 
Day 1 and 2; 3-10-08 and 3-11-08

Monday I was still sick so I took some batting practice instead of lifting. I went to baseball practice though and ran over a mile during an Indian Run. However, I did not take my Levaithan Reloaded.


Today I took 2 LR before my baseball practice and felt good. No long running, just an easy sprint. No review today.

**I will be running on Thursday, and lifting W + F.

W - Back and Legs
Th - 15 Min. Fasted Cardio
F - Shoulders and Arms
Sa - Some form of Cardio before baseball)

Mondays Dips - 13 AM, 2,7 PM (screwed PM up)
Tuesdays Dips - 14 AM, ( ) PM (will post tonight)

In addition, I will be posting my daily diet starting next week. I'm still getting my appetite back so I'm working it in along with taking OGT's for school...STAY TUNED!

Cut: Day 1-4; 3-10 - 3-13-08

Thats odd. I updated this log. I wonder what happened.

Day 1 - Sick, Indian Run (baseball)
Day 2 - Sick, Nothing
Day 3 - Back and Legs, still working on the knee
Day 4 - No running, still coughing

My diet has been crap with OGT's for school so I'm just winging it this week, but I am no where near going over my maintence. I know that for sure.

Wednesday's training was sub-par. My knee wasn't moving with me with leg presses and my back is messed up from deadlifting.

My Leviathan hasn't been taken everyday so my reviews will come tommorow from here on out.

This is just a minor set-back and I will be on track tommorow (Friday)
 
Day 5; 3-14-08

Alarm didn't wake me up in the AM, fell asleep in the PM after baseball, so there was no Workout. I keep forgetting to do my dips. shyts gonna change!

OGT's are finally over and I've got my baseball schedule under control. My WO's are gonna be posted next week and my diet will be listed daily.
 
Moved my Workout

Since I fell alseep on friday, I'm moving my upper body workout to sunday morning. I will take my Leviathan: Reloaded and prepare for one kick-butt WO.
 
Day 6; 3-15-08

Off day. Ate well, didn't use fitday. Baseball practice for about 2 hours. Then took about an hour of batting practice in my garage and worked up a good sweat.

Felt energized, but my body was fatiqued. I'm guessing my body is shocked that I'm doing sets of 10 reps instead of adding weight/lowering reps like I had been. Strength and edurance wasn't there but I expected this. Decent workout and I know my numbers will be jumping up like crazy.
 
FIRST CARDIO SESSION! Day 8; 3-17-08

Alarm didn't wake me up, so I forgot my Leviathan but I still ran. I had a decent run, but I never keep track of my time/distance traveled. I will get a stop watch for tommorow though!

However, I took 2 LR before baseball practice and felt pretty good. Good focus and energy and felt like I could endure some more running after coach yelled at us.

Diet #'s will be posted tonight in this post tonight.

Diet wasn't 100% tracked on fitday.

I stayed under 2,500, hit 200g Protein, had a few cupcakes for st. patty's day
 
Day 9; 3-18-08

Ran 'X' amount of miles in 14 minutes.

I run in my devolpment, so I know how far I ran and if I made progress. No clue why I ran for only 14 minutes, but I know I got a helluva lot more in me.

2 Lev. Reloaded. 50 minutes b4 cardio

-I need to work harder if I want abs. I worked harder then I did Monday, but more effort is needed.

I'm amazed at how much I ate today. I dont understand it. I have to eat like a mofo to eat 4,000 calories, but 3,000 seemed like nothing?

Edit: Just making sure everyone knows, I am not working my chest muscles in a workout format for about another month. Like I mentioned a week ago, I'm doing Dips once in the morning and at night to failure. Its a tip I have picked up.

Where'd you pick up the "dip" thing from again?

Nick Nilsson. He's a well credited personal trainer, and its called muscle speciation. He has a book for $10 but there was a teleseminar with "the muscle nerd" and that was nick's free tip. Will it make my strength sky-rocket? I dont know. I do know I can do a lot more dips than I could a month ago. And heck, its baseball season so I would rather not bench a whole lot.

Basically this 'speciation' is used to take your worst body part and work it every day, twice a day, and make your body recover faster and faster.

EDIT: Dang..I just did my nightly dips, and I pushed out 3 more reps than this morning

Im switching my routine slighty.

-Squats and bench - 6-8 reps 3 stets.

-Super sets with Back and Shoulders (on their own day)

-Drop sets with Leg Extenstions (3-5 sets)

-Biceps and Triceps - 4 second negatives on all lifts.

I'm adding all the tips I enjoy using and saw progress with and hope this works for the next 5 weeks. Then after my cut I will do a 3x3 strength routine. I'll be honest, I'm not in good mental condition. I hate admitting it, but 10 reps is hard for me after doing so many low rep sets. Its hard to motivate and stay posistive at 6:30 AM with no music or anyone lifting with you. So, I'm gonna do the best I can and push through any problems.

3-22 - Did a small back, shoulder and Tricep 'workout'

some key points - 275lbs x 8 (had a freshmen get me motviated and im happy he did. Don't worry, I went light ;) )

CG Bench Press - 115lbs x 10, 125lbs x 10, 130lbs x 10, 135lbs x 9

Missed 425lbs on Deadlift. :run:

I expected this. I'm done taking a week off when I feel good and not worn down.

Then I played some basketball with the football team and had fantasic edurance.

The LR has been treating me well.

Saturday is going to be a double cardio session in the AM and PM as long as my family doesn't go suprise on me and go do something. lol
 
Day 15; 3/24

Had an hour workout. Used muscle confusion. I'm still working out really hard, just not as heavy as I want to now becuase its affecting baseball.

Military Press, 3 sets
CG Bench Press, 4 sets
Did a lot of supersets and dropsets with cables for my triceps.

5x5 Powerclean @ 135lbs. Concentrated on form.

Leviathan Reloaded gave me a great workout!
 
Day 16; 3/25

Off day. Only had 4 hours of sleep and my traps were sore as heck from power Cleans on monday.

On a + note, I have been balling it up so I have been doing a lot ofcardio and I run like a mofo for no reason. My friends call me spaz.

My diet has been beautiful too.

EDIT: Fcuk, I sound like a baby. Im hitting up some cardio in an hour.
 
Crazy Cardio! Ran Hard for about 15 minutes, then did random sprints, stops and jogs for the next 15 minutes. I felt way to energized at the end of my 15 minutes and a 2 minute break.

But, I know what I should do to make it harder.

~Endurance - 11/10 - Never had such a long and powerful run

4 weeks till my birthday and the end of my cut. I gotta get 'em. If not, I'll just diet and run until I get them, but i'll be very close by my birhtday regardless. I really gotta nail my diet and run my azz off.
 
Day 17; 3/26

Worked some Abs and Legs..and chest which i shouldn't have.

10 reps| Incline Crunches ss/ 10 reps| leg raises. 45 sec rest. 3sets

Squats..WAY TOO LIGHT!!

235 x 5 (reps) x 4 (sets)

However, good thing I went lighter. It means it only took my 2weeks to catch up to where I was. Not bad.

Box Squat - 275 x 5. (need a spotter, had 5 more in me)

Knee Extension (Drops Sets) - 175 x 10, 160 x 10, 145 x 10

Flat DB Becnh - 60 x 10

Flat BB Bench - 95 x 10, 155 x 3, 185 x 5, 185 x 4


took 2 lev. reloaded. awesome workout yet again.

I'm really liking Muscle Confusion. I'm also going to be doing more sets/ high intensity but workouts will be under an hour.
 
Day 19 - 3/28

Did some deadlifts for sets of 10. then barley pulled 315lbs which scared the living crap out of me.

Also did rows.

Not a succesful workout becuase I needed energy for baseball.

no leviathan reloaded.
 
Day 20 - 3/29

Ate a bunch of crap..subway, pizza and chips and even some fruit juices. No running or lifting. No Leviathan. Just tired to enjoy my last saturday of spring break.

Today I will do my best to stay clean besides the fact im going to my grandparents all day. I'll keep everything in moderation and will hopefully do an abs/biceps workout when I return tonight.
 
Day 21 - Did ~12 minutes Intesne Cardio. Rested 3 minutes. Ran 4/5 miles on the track in about 7 mins (went slow). Diet was not clean but I do not beleive I went over 2,500 calories.

Day 22 - No cardio, didnt wake up in time, no leviathan. Had a baseball game. Diet was spot on FINALLY.

Day 23 - 7 minute HARD run, limited time to do it. 2 LR, 1 hour Pre-cardio.
 
We are 0-2 right now. Lost 3-13 and then 1-7. I'm 2 for 5 though with 2 walks. I caught 6 innings on Tuesday and then played OF on Monday.

What about you?

I am beeing a biotch on the base paths...I have 8 SB in 12attmepts. There's no way I should ever get thrown out and I need to steal more :frustrate

3rd. And after hitting the crap outta the ball the past 2 games (some outs were shots right to the kid), there are moving me 9th. My coach wants a 2nd lead off batter 9th. I like the idea becuase I will get tons of fastballs!!

No offense but thats a terrible idea IMO. If your hitting the piss outta the ball you need to be in the top 3 spots, maybe maybe hit 4 or 5 but shouldn't be any lower than that. If you hit 9 all year you'll have 30-40 less AB's then the top 3 guys thats huge when you can ball....know what I mean

9 spots for fast kids who either K up or hit piss rod's IMO thats why they're their because its mostly fastballs.

Good point, I forgot about the AB #'s. It is irrating though. The 3 hitter is gonna be the kid who was in florida for 2 weeks. I' gonna say he is our best sopohmore on varsity (out of 3, inlucding me). Only thing is he is gonna DH because he had surgey. Oh well. He plays football, I don't, and the coach is the QB coach and talks with the kid's parent all the time.

Yea man it's BS I went thru the same ish in HS. Keep ballin and things will work out. From the looks of your logs and with talking to you. Your smarter and work harder than any other guy on your team or maybe in your conference. Just keep at it.

Day 24 - 4/2 - Did 3 sets of Benching and 2 sets of powercleans. Used 10 reps or more. Limited time and didnt do legs becuse of baseball.

Day 25 - 4/3 - 10 minute HARd run. Increased Endurance and still felt good comapred to last run. Gotta keep going up.

Leviathan is awesome
 
Updates

Day 26 - Did some leg/back work. Did little bit of abs. I have noticed my workouts suck when I'm not prepared, so this muscle confusion isnt working.

Day 27 and 28 - out of town, crappy diet, no exericse.

-16 days until my birthday
-Abs are not looking good
-Diet breakdown will be posted daily and workouts will be back to 3 sets of 10 reps
-Cardio will be done 5-7 times a week now with likley 2-a-days
-2000 calories at the most will be eaten

I have made progress, I just need to stick with my diet and my workout plan even if numbers drop.

If for any reason my abs are not showing, I will continue to get shredded

My goal is .400 for the year. After seeing some good and bad pitchers, its time to set goals.
