Rob112^3...That means cubed guys. See what I did?

Hard to say about that butt lift. It looked like there was still some contact, but it might get red lighted in a meet just because it looked like they moved too much.

So today is start of the taper

Squat
Up to-345
Did this in flat shoes and I felt more stable actually. After slow motioning my last squats and showing a guy at the gym he noticed the weight is on my heels on the way down, and the fall forward happens as the weight moves over the center of my foot.

Bench
Up to-245
This all went well again. Little bicep soreness, but nothing bad.

Deadlift
Up to-365
Called it short here. Body is sore, particularly low back. I pulled a really heavy double last week, and then sat in a car driving to and from Brooklyn last night. The quickest thing I could do to hurt progress is hurt myself. This weight moved fast, just didn't feel right.

To add, nothing really felt great, but all moved nice. I think that is good. May go in and get the blood flowing on like Tuesday, and then nothing until Saturday.

Plan is likely
Squat-345/360/375
Bench-245/260/275
Deadlift-435/455/475

Now this is conservative numbers here. I am open to ideas. Now I can't decide, but if my third on any lift feels relatively easy I may go for a "Rob's world record breaking 4th attempt." I'm really undecided. I mean, it's not a meet so do I just work up to what feels like a max? I dunno. I should of thought of this sooner.

Ideas always welcome fellas

My 2 cents: if you are doing a mock meet... Keep it a mock meet and maybe allow a 4th on just 1 lift. Don't go ape shît with warmup sets and just see where you are with what feels easy. Impressive digits tho man!!

You're right, I gotta keep it a mock meet...the hard part is I never really thought about the numbers I want to hit until like now haha

last time I did one I planned numbers 2 weeks out and stuck by them, just to see if my predictions would be accurate. Made it seem more realistic as well

Rob, you have those numbers all day. I wouldn't shy away from a fourth if you're feeling it, just realize it may affect your total if it's in the squat. I don't think a 4th bench attempt will do sh!t to your recovery honestly

Thanks man. I don't wanna sell myself short, but I also don't want over shoot too far. I got some time to think. And big pulls after big squats can be hard as you mention

If it's going to be a mock meet treat it as such same routine same jumps same everything decide now what your looking to hit then make a small change on the last if your really feeling good that day just my opinion

Plan out everything like a regular meet, just have secondary bigger jump options if things feel too easy.

Also every time I hit my last week before the taper with my RTS programming everything feels heavy and blah, then I taper and things feel great. Don't worry about how it felt now just be prepared to rest recover then crush it.

Just about the same numbers that I'm looking to hit man! I'd say go by feel as far as the jump from 2nd to 3rd goes.

Hey, now you get to experience the "what ifs" and thinking that goes into meets(without the pressure). It's a pain picking all 9 attempts. You wanna set yourself up to go 9/9 while doing at least close to real maxes.

Squat up to 315
Bench up to 225
No deadlift. Did hyper extensions/BSS w/kettle bell/bench pattern pull down.

Next day is Saturday of the mock meet. Body is a little blah so the 3 days off will be nice. No dead as I am sore in the back and I respond well to rest after a big pull. I did feel good stuff instead. I also did my squats wide with flat shoes. Gonna be a game time decision!

That's all folks!

Good luck on your mock meet rob. You have those numbers all day.

Mock meet
Squat
350 Good
370 good
390 depth is freaking close

Sorry for the view. Couldn't get the side view with people on the monolift

Bench
250 good
265 good
280 freaking moved like non maximal weight but I think the ass came up. It's a technique flaw and not strength as the bench was flying today.

You guys can be the judges on these two

Deadlift
Back was kind of sore
435 good
Called it as I felt on the verge of pulling my back out again. It was on the stiff bar bc some monster was block pulling 875 with the gold bar :( one thing I learned is pulling the back out is the easiest way to digress.

Overall, I am definitely much stronger now. I have to clean some things up. Didn't go perfect, but it went pretty Damn good. Overall I am happy with my progress. Gotta work this back out a little and I think I am leaning towards a may meet.

All critiques are very welcome and thanks for following. I already know some adjustments I'm making, if you guys see something then maybe more.

Now to hit some food!

Squat depth seemed good, but I'm not expert at judging from the front. I'd count it.

Ass did seem to come off the bench, but, again, I'm not expert. Weight moved fast though, so it's really just a technical error/mis-cueing.

Smart to call it on the deads.

Great job, buddy.

Squat was definitely good.

Ass looked like it lifted.

Deadlift should've been heavier, I hear the back isn't even that important.

I'd say squat was good just watch the knees they wanted badly to come in on u Bench flew Awsome work today

Yea I was so unused to walking out that weight I had a few errors in set up alone. One of the things I'll fix next training. Did not feel it in my bicep at all so new grip is golden.

Yea that's why I am not even down about it. Yea it kind of sucks, but it wasn't like it lifted because it was too heavy. Guy lifting off was like "this isn't even your max" before lift out. Another thing to fix!

Yea and pulling the back out is not worth the risk reward haha

Lol man...back issues, as you know, can freaking blow! Just wasn't worth trying further. I miss being able to afford regular Chiro appointments

From a guy who tweaked his back doing a mock meet in the past, you made the smart move on the deads (where as I didn't haha).

Everything shows some great progress, so be happy, and know I am jelly of that food.

Thanks man, and I am very happy. Learned a lot, but RTS style training is without a doubt working.

Ya I am back to the RPE and RTS style for strength movements again and feel I learned a lot from all my RTS programming.

Good stuff Rob! Keep working that core strength and 400 will be a no wrap second attempt. Depth was good and lower body technique didn't break down very bad for a heavy attempt. Bench, You probably just goobered up your setup and could go in and hit 280 without butt lift tomorrow. Get healthy so you can grab up that 1200 in May!

Thanks man! That's the goal, to break that. Granted I'll be using wraps too :D

I will get that core strength up!

1200 Will be a walk in the park in wraps once your core and back can handle the weight enough to express your strength. I truly feel if you're not getting 50-70 out of your wraps, you're doing it wrong.

You think blue arrows are good for that much? I mean I like them a lot, I just haven't tried many to really know a difference.

I like the soecificity of RTS and DUP and all, but I think skimping on accessory work is a no no. I'm learning! Haha
