Rob112^3...That means cubed guys. See what I did?

Strong smooth pull.
Not sure if I imagined it or not ( I watched a few times) it almost looks like you drifted to your toes at the end/lockout.
Might not mean a thing, I might be wrong, just saying if you can keep the weight either mid foot, or more back on the heels, you'll have some stronger lockout power.
Maybe what Herd said.
But don't overthink what I say either. Don't wanna info overload you here.

Okay, I'll go another way too. I thought the shorts were okay, (clashed with the green wall some) but it was the black socks
and chuck's ;-)
Glad to hear the back is nearly 100%+ dude

Haha you the man PB!

Good eye, I definitely don't want any bar drift.

Oh, for anyone who hasn't tried 1 arm at a time farmers walks try them. Brutal on the abdominals!

Uneven weight farmers work pretty well too.

Although, typically one arm carries are called "suitcase carries".

If that pull were a push, it would be ex-lax smooth, bro. And that shyte was a warm up. You could hit that 6-8 times, easily.

Well done, big boy.

Thanks Jinxie. Part of my overall problem on pulls is I hurt my back twice in the past 2.5-3 years and had set backs. I need to get safe and confident if that is possible.

Opener again on fronts of feet instead of heels. The butt lift freaked me out. Plus I wanted to do it without the sling shot sleeves. Hand off was high and it felt easy. Shut it down for bbing weakness/stretch stuff.

Does it feel like the right side of the spine is tight and/or the piriformis area?

I do get that area sore. The whole glute/hip on the sides and back get sore, but certain areas like that get particularly sore. It seems like a big connection of soreness. I can help the symptoms but don't know the root cause.

Hey, nothing but props for listening to your body and vigilance learned from past experience. Safety, but no fear! :)

Romo just did an Eli

My break down
-not a very good game
-it is still the NFC least
-Dallas barely won with a defensive score and a score off a bad call(Mathias's hand grazed Romo's neck as he, Mathias, was being driven into the ground)

Seriously, the NFL is getting ridiculous with these calls that change games. Second one in a werk(first one was Saints vs. 49ers).

I agree. A little too protective sometimes with these calls. Hey man, I'm glad the gmen turned it around thou. Coughlin will keep his job.

This will ease your pain. Srsly watch. Great stuff

Good times

Tom Brady was such an a hole when he was like " they think we're only gonna score 17? Hahahahahahaha"

Well Tom it turns out they were wrong too, you only scored 14 you spy gate piece of chit

2 cents and just throwing out some stuff...
I certainly have had my share of back spasms & pain, both upper and lower.
Do you find your RT. side neck, shoulder or upper back gets tight or gives you some trouble on occasion?

At times, when I would use my bodo or J-bar on my trigger points in my glutes, hip sides, low back/belt line and hams (some would bring tears to my eyes) I would lay on the floor and stretch a bit and relax and my low back would adjust, or clunk in, for lack of a better word.
I know I carry a lot of tension in that area and the upper back, as I never get tension headaches and rarely have stomach problems, but I do believe the stress and tension of life manifests itself in those areas too.

Interesting PB. Very well could, and I do get tension in areas of the upper back from time to time too. I usually do the chiro once a month(Christmas time has been a little hard for that).

I do feel like it is all connected to an extent. Stress, movements, posture, injury, etc. for example, mashing my chest seems to loosen the shoulder which in turn helps my elbow area. Crazy.

Well put. Mind-body connection. Anger, resentment, frustration and anxiety are often carried in the upper back/traps/posterior shoulder area.

Soreness in the glutes/hips, that's often from being closed off to true sexual desires. ;) Seriously though, I get a lot of discomfort here, and in my piriformis, rob112. What works best for me is medical acupuncture. But that's not an easy thing to come by. I am blessed to have a physiatrist, who is schooled in the art of deep dry pinning, which works remarkably well for taking the muscle out of spasm. Trigger point injections work splendidly as well, at least for me. I couldn't train without this weekly treatment, given my chronic pain issues.

Heal up, bud.

Would love to try that some time. Sounds very interesting to me(acupuncture).

Your user name should be "theJournalist" because you are well spoken sir.

Thanks buddy, very kind of you to say.

Yeah, acupuncture or a good physical medicine and rehab doctor, aka a physiatrist, can work miracles. While i find chiro can be helpful for acute conditions, i find these other modalities more appropriate for chronic conditions. But YMMV.

Rack pulls couple inches below knee(second pin)
-worked up to 405 x 1 and held 5+ seconds just to feel the weight. Wasn't too shabby at all.
-some pause front squats w/155(need to work on placement more).
-briefcase caries-65 x 40steps x 4each hand(one was longer bc douchebag walked in front of me.
-hypers super settled with plank variations.

I'm ready for the freaking meet already.

After that you will see a lot more of me in a singlet because my birthday president is a hefty gift card to a small hard core powerlifting gym near me that is sponsored by eliteFTS. ****ing syked!

Edit:birthday slash Christmas

Epic! Have a great holiday man.

Good workout today man. And thanks for taking me in and feeding me. Rack pull was solid, I think you got 420 if your not beat to **** by the end of it

Last real bench before comp.
Worked up to 225 x 1 with commands easy
Did 250 x 1 with commands with slingshot

Then just did bodybuilding stuff
Chest supported rows up to 115
Head banger to close grip burn outs w/90
Spider curls w/40lb DBs
More pull aparts than I can count through out

Loving the shoulder bully warm up

Only thing I forgot to do this past week was lift on commands. I'll just practice with lighter weight.

It's something that isn't really much, but just would suck to miss a lift on a technicality. They talk about it in the rules right before the meet starts. You'll be alright brochacho.

Try to get in the habit of treating every lift like a comp lift.

How you train is how you will perform...

I always do a short pause, hold the top of the DL, etc. But obviously I don't have someone there giving me commands every session...

I'm not worried, just something I didn't do. Touch chest, listen for up, kill it. Deadlift I'm gona enjoy it for a little while either way haha.

Oh definitely. Some people get hyped up and rack too fast or something. Like Spoto did with7 something.

I had smoker calling and he gave me a NomZ's federation style 7 second count lol

Rather too much than not enuff nawhmsayin?

And those slingshot wraps are tits

Worked up to squat opener today quickly. It was pretty easy, and would pass for depth, but not as clean as when I take more time.

Basically went
Bar x 8ish
135 x 5
185 x 4
225 x 3
275 x 1
325 x 1

Probably just gonna maybe add a little more reps earlier on to get even warmer. I was also in a piece of **** rack that took 4 steps out. Lesson learned, warm up and mobilize a little more.

What's the plan for the week? There's no more bench and squat am I right?

I may or may not hit my deadlift opener again. I will do some bodybuilding type stuff and core work. Health is pretty good so I wanna keep it that way.

How many times have you hit your deadlift opener already, Rob?

EDIT: If the answer is greater than zero, then I would encourage you to not fret about your pulls and be done. No need to worry about something you've already taken care of. You already know that the week of rest and the atmosphere of the platform will cause your pull to rise to the occasion.

Good call Herderdude.

I am not nervous about the openers really at all(although I did wanna get a timing idea on the wraps today) I am just anxious I guess and wanna stay primed.

Maybe some racks or something and more impossible to mess up bodybuilding type stuff.

Good call with the wrap timing. Very important. For my 535, my buddy was wrapping my left knee while I was wrapping my right. Incredibly lucky that I didn't get tilted from that fact. I was whining about how tight my buddy wrapped my knee, and this kid who just got done squatting 900 said "That's how they're sposed to be. Go get it."

Nice work, Rob.

I feel bad for the NFC right now having to go through Seattle right now. Defense is insane and crowd just won back loudest sports fans in the world.
