Felt like I left some in the take as planned. You can see in the video where all reps kinda drop a couple inches off the chest(this is where I feel the discomfort). Looked like but may have risen on that second rep. Overall very happy with the workout. Gotta work on my problem area. 1 note is aside from the 275 hand off from that big dude my other hand offs were still work for me because it was my 110 lb wife handing off...just trying to keep all factors in mind.

What do you guys think? Do you think I should open at 225 or lower? Any and all pointers are appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

For those don't don't know smoker thinks tebow is better than Peyton manning.

Easy man, proud Gator here. Tebow is a fawking Adonis! And that guy has character like few others, I don't care what the masses say. If you are Gator you love him, and not just because. He can give a damn good stump speech.

But I am still subbed, for yet another dose of humility. Good work here.

Thanks guys, 225 it is. We shall determine squat opener tomorrow. Im set to go to 315 and then I'll joker set a little higher.

Hey man, all good to like the guy. Smoker thinks he is as good as Manning. Hang around a little while and you will see that Smoker is like a anabolic minds version of skip balis. He has a good heart though haha.

Welcome aboard!

Tebow is a champion, and he'd make a banner fawking FB or TE, but he's never had the skill set to succeed as anything but an occasional Wildcatter in the NFL. He's not even a mediocre pro-style QB.

Marino is my guy -- partly because he has such good hair, and partied so hard in college, lol -- but Manning is the best that ever played the position, IMO. I saw him play several times in college, dating myself. He's smart as a whip, and just an amazing competitor. He's not even that mobile, but his aptitude and 3rd eye make up for it.

I agree with this assessment. Tebow is an athletic talent. Just no QB for this level. Those other two...freaking awesome.

One cool thing about handsome Dan is he did it when it wasn't an offense based league. I agree on Peyton is GOAT.

You've earned the right to open with 225. Those were good strict pauses. This is gonna be a big meet for you buddy, 1000 or bust!

Jinxie, you're right, Marino is the man. If he were playing with today's rules and style of play, he'd put up arena football-type numbers. Where I went to college, the fraternity I frequented had a table that was said to have been used by Danny boy to partake in an energy booster of sorts.

I agree and lmao and table used for energy booster.

LMAO Herderdude. Reminds me of me using a razor to shave the coating of the ephies in college as part of my PWO stack, as I alluded to in someone's log.

You guys are good peeps, and you make me want to be able to PL, just so I can be a part of camaraderie. Well not just that, because I would love nothing more than to be bearing heavy loads, but for my serious limitations, which I've come to accept, finally.

Rob-

Your phillies are making terrible moves. 3rd place finish all day this coming year

Good job on the PR, leg drive timing looks off by a hair and you saw the butt like I did.

Is head lifting legal in your fed?

World natural powerlifting fed allows it. Robbie had checked cause he loves the head raise

It felt like it was a little off. I recently went to a flat foot instead on my toes under me. I feel more stable and the low back doesn't bother after bench, but leg drive is not a precise and I have to really focus more on no butt raise.

They allow it, I actually am not trying to head raise. It is a bad habit I picked up and defaulted to.

That is 335, which is an all time PR. I could definitely do more as it didn't feel too hard. Plus I won't have to walk out at comp.

You guys already seen me triple 315 already. Any pointers or even ideas on where to go are appreciated. Just did some core and hypers after.

Could you double that?

Nice work brother. I'd say open 315, then 335, then 350, maybe more

Heard that.

Your looking at over 1000 this time for sure. How are you feeling with your deadlift?

Sending all my sht in tomorrow. You better believe that. Even if I only do one, I'm doing it mang.

We shall see Friday...or Saturday if I am still beat up. I'm just gonna go heavy, but more like 375 to play it safe. Don't wanna screw up the back before the meet.

Pointers -- lose the pheggish 80s new wave, lol.

Looking good. At around 21 seconds, coming out of the hole, you lost your grove for a brief second, shifting forward however briefly, and took some of the load on your back, but it was brief. Good overall. Nice depth. You got at least 30-40 more lbs in you.

Lmao haha

Good eye, sometimes at heavier weights I feel my back activate coming out. It is like a brief second. I will work on it. Thanks!

Bar speed and depth were good.

325

350

365-370 depending

Nice job...

Thanks brother! I am thinking along those lines to avoid a big jump from 315. Good idea. One thing I have on my side is I won't have to walk it out(which I prefer).

Just tried on the singlet...that mother ****er got tight as **** after my recent weight gain. Smashed nuts for the win?

Why can't we lift in something comfy? Lol

Rob, squat single looked good.

^ That. We're gonna see a HUGE jump in the ol' total, bud.

Well you guys have definitely been a help in all of this. That's why I love this forum.

Proposed deadlift opener

375 x 1

Then did hyper extensions-bw x 4 x 20
Reverse lunge to 1 leg rdl-25's x 8el, 5el x 2 sets
1 arm farmers walk-60 x 40steps each arm x 4sets(so that's 8 laps total)

I feel like right before the pull I got the back pretty straight, like when the slack was pulled. It looks like it rounds a hair, but much better than last week. I feel great right now so back is a o k.
I was at first trying to squat down with a flat back, grab, then move hips, and it just felt like too much motion. Here I was trying to do as herder showed me his brother does.

Any last minute critiques would be cool. I am really confident I can open with this. It may not be fast, but I feel confident.

Stay classy AM

Keep those hips up where they go! You kinda squatted your hips back instead of GMing them back. It's hard for me to explain, but we don't want your hips coming up and your shoulders rolling in front of the bar.

You're gonna crush that weight, and you're good to go for the meet. Now's not the time to make big changes or get out of your comfort zone.

I know exactly what you are saying actually. I feel I may have some tight hammies because if I GM and reach to the bar I am like 8 inches away still.

I absolutely agree though on no big changes. I think for Christmas this year I may just go to a gym near me that is a trainers type thing, and have these guys just tear apart my form in person so I can make suddle changes between sets. They are west side certified if that means anything.

It's either that or I bring a web cam to the gym! Or face time hahaha

Thanks brother

I'd like to see more overall tightness in the set up and pull, but it looked good for an opener to me. :)

Just do what you have to do and worry about tweaks after the meet.

Yea I really gotta get that squared away. One on one coaching is seeming like the way to go. I appreciate it.
