I'm young and I'm not big on it either. The party sluts and drunken douchebags get old after a while too. I'd rather focus on class, lifting, diet, sleep, and my good friendships and relationships. But going out every once in a while isn't bad either.

Yea it completely conflicts with other goals in life. Get trashed Saturday night or workout Sunday morning...I pick the workout.

I agree. It's more rewarding. More fun. And actually useful. I do sleep good after a couple shots tho haha.

Actually hurt my back in week 8(about a month ago). I kept some of the tactics(like reverse band overload and not missing lifts) but switched to 5/3/1. I may go back to cube after a long bought with 5/3/1, but I just don't think I have the programming skills for the freedom the cube has at this time.

Talk about wake the **** up at 6:30 on a sunday. It's nice having Muscle Marinade in the stash :D

This week is so much harder than the 3's week for me. You really have to dig deep on that 3rd working set. My legs feel like jello. Started adding the front squats this week. Nothing impressive, but walking felt impressive after the 250 x 7 to me. BASL hip opener back to the every squat day rotation has been gold. No depth issues or feeling tight opening up anymore.
 
It was tough because it was so god damn early. I could never workout that early Bc of the time and I always feel sick in the mornings. Good work sir
 
Nice work. I find it funny because anything around 5 reps seems high rep to me now and takes a strong mental fortitude to get ready for when it is programmed (for the main lifts). :D

3/5/1 no AMRAP on 3's and 1's. Work up to single at T1RM and following cycles pull T1RM for AMRAP

I'll read that one again. My plan is to switch versions every 6 weeks like he has in the middle of the book with like a 40 week thing or something like that. Maybe I'll try that one next. I'll reread tonight or tomorrow. Good looking out.
 
yeah rep work sucks.. the boring but big template leaves me wanting to crawl after about 10 sets of squats. it deff helps with my work capacity though..
 
All this high rep talk has me thinking about the 50 rep sets of oly squats. I just vomited in my mouth.

I accomplished 135x50 by droppping as hard as I could and bouncing off of my calves. That being said, I didn't open my knees and every one was high. So I have to do it again sometime.

Todays reps were BRUTAL.

No videos lately. I have been going early as **** solo. Hopefully schedule gets better soon. I notice rep work...has been making me stronger at rep work. Crazy concept. I didn't have it in me physically to do a row that took low back stabilization. Plus I am a fan of chest supported rows being an opposite motion to bench. I may try to get a harder rowing variation in on shoulder press day. Recovery will be hard this week. All four workouts in five days. It sucks ass and I will be cautious, but I have little choice if I want to stay on schedule.

Oh, I was referncing a little guy by the name of Jimi Hendrix a post up. A little song by the name of Purple Haze. Half of you were probably conceived during that masterpiece. Look it up.

It's doing pretty good. Pretty much pain free. Still some discomfort and weakness. I am being very conservative in deads to build back up. I started at 315 on last micro cycle, doing 325 this one, and hopefully keep jumping that way.

20lb jumps gets it so I will at least get what I got at last competition and get a better total bc of the other lifts. Then hopefully do better in all three after that one.

I think I have another meet or two as novice. Anyone know how that works?
