Opted to move deads in front of OHP this week, as I was planning on hitting the hill after work, but the storm going on outside my office right now suggests that might not happen. Brain wasn’t fully engaged, but not a bad session really. Hammies & hips have been way tighter since starting sprints.
Getting down to the bar was kinda tough today. I could feel I wasn’t quite where I wanted to be, but back felt alright & looked fairly acceptable in the vids, although last set was definitely more of a grind than it should’ve been, could’ve gotten down/sat back into it much better from the start, instead of trying to muscle sh!t up. Once again this week, sorta rushing – should’ve re-set each rep. Not really feeling like I need to hurry, but I’ve got a tendency to lean towards short rest times, to the point it can affect performance.
Feeling like I’m getting a little more comfortable with being the right distance from the bar – I was always trying to get right up on my shins, but I’m finding everything flows so much smoother with the bar about 1-1.5” away from shins, at least as far as my current flexibility is concerned.
Tried snatch grip on a couple sets of accessory DLs – couldn’t help but smash my balls into the bar, rather uncomfortably I might add, & that is not quite what I find enjoyable first thing in the morning….
