Today started off bad but ended on a pretty good note. I took the wifes car this morning and what do you know, A blow out. Thats great for a Friday the 13th for you, if you believe in that type of stuff. Thats ok because I took it out on the weights.

UPPER/HEAVY

Warm up (Bench Press x 2 sets)

Bench Press( 3 sets x 5,5,5) + 1 bonus set x 3 @385 ** Prime at work!!!**
Pec Deck( 3 sets x 10,10,10)
Bent Over Rows( 3 sets x 5,5,5)
DB Rows(3 sets x 10,10,10)
Seated DB Press(3 sets x 5,5,5)
BB Shrugs(2 sets x 10,10,10)
Tricep Pressdowns SS with BB Curls(10/8,10/8,10/8)

This heavy stuff on Friday and Saturday is AWESOME. The gym is pretty much empty. I guess everyone is getting ready for the club tonight. No disturbances, no conversations, no anything except my IPOD, me and some stares!!!

Saturday's workout was pretty dismal. It was just one of those days. A guy that works for me asked for a ride to pick up his truck. It was a 45 minute ride each way. After that, my wife received some bad news. A close friend of hers passed away. She was pretty down so I tended to her. I went to the gym but workout was modified to save to time in order to get back to her.


Legs/Power
Warm up(Squats x 2 sets)
Squats(2 sets x 6,6)
Leg Press(2 sets x 10,10)
Leg Extensions(2 sets x 10,10)
Stiff Leg Deads(3 sets x 6,6,6)
Calf raises(3 sets x 12,12,12)
 
Today I had and AWESOME come back. Its was kinda like a family reunion. I hooked up with an old workout partner that I have not seen in about 3 months and have not worked out with in more than a year.

Warm-Up(Incline DB Press x 2 sets)
Incline DB Press( 3 sets x 10,10,10) Set a new PR
Machine Bench Press(2 sets x 15,15 and 1 triple drop set x 30) Pecs were full and thick
Pec Deck(2 sets x 15,15 and 1 triple Drop set x 30) screaming by the end!!!
Push ups (1 set to Failure)
Low Pulley Rows(3 sets x 10,10,10)
Close Grip Lat Pulldowns(3 sets x 15,15,12)
Pullover Machine(3 sets x 15,15,15)

I never left the gym after a chest and back day and felt like puking but today we really pushed each other to the max and it almost happen. If there is such thing as walking a fine line, we did it tonight!!! He has agreed to hit legs with me tomorrow, so I see trouble Brewing. Honestly words that i type can not give you the full effect. I will see about getting some vids of tomorrow.

Bro, you are not BS'ing on that. It was kinda a PR because I have never done that many reps at that weight that late in a workout. I was psyched. Now that my boy, a spotter that I trust, is back in the picture i will break 400 for reps. I have done 415 before but it was for 1 rep. my new goal is 405 for 3!!!

Me 1 - Legs 1. Todays workout was rather beastly. I set some new PR's but it came at a price. It was well worth it in my opinion. After our workout, i made it home and as soon as I hit the grass, here it come. yes, I puked. Laugh if you want but I will take that trade off in a heart beat.

Warm Up(Hack Squats x 2 sets)
Hack Squats(3 sets x 10,10) + 1 bonus set x 6 @405 PR. All my Hacks are deep bottom outs.
Leg Press(3 sets x 10,10,8) 12 plates,14 plates and last one 16 plates(PR)
thats a Post Surgery PR.
Single Leg Ext.(3 sets x 15,15,15)
LUnges(1 sets x down and back and 1 sets stationary x 15 reps per)
DB Stiff Leg Dead(3 sets x 10,10,10)
Standing Alt. Leg Curls(3 sets x 15,15,15)
Seated Calf raises(2 sets x 15,15)
Standing calf raises( 2 sets x 15,15)

Intensity was outrageous. My partner and I always push each other. I'm sure that we caught some stares. The great thing about is that we could feel the stares but we were so focused that we did not pay it any attention. He has duty tomorrow so we will be traing delts/arms by ourselves. No vids today. the wife had the camera because she went out with some friends for St. Patricks Day. By the way, happy St. Paddys day for everyone.
 
Had to train by myself today because my partner had duty and my wife was recovering from St. Patricks Day partying. It did not slow me down at all. Speaking of recovering I want to share something with everyone. USPLabs Powerfull is really doing its job. As my wife was partying and drinking last night, I had to go get her from the party to avoid any legal situations. Well, i laid down to take a nap after my workout before she called. When she called at 12:30 a.m., I got my beat up azz up and got to driving. Mind you I have to be up at 3:45 a.m. in order to be at work on time. Well, after only a couple hours of sleep, I woke up feeling as if i had slept all night. I worked all day and and extra hour and still was able to hit heavy Delts and Arms!!!

Wasn't flat bench, but I felt pretty good with the results..
3x8 of DB low-incline w/ 125's, semi-supersetted (short rest) w/ 3x8 of weighted pull-ups. Wore me out bro..


Holy Bleep!!! How much are weighing right now. Thats a lot of weight moving there. Hell yeah, I will be fired up for Friday's Heavy Upper day!!!!

That was actually the heaviest I've gone in a long while; strength had been stagnant recently but I was psyched for the first day of the new portion of the routine, which called for 3x8 to failure. It was ballz to the wallz!
You got my eyes set on that 400 bro. Don't know if I'll be able to make it before I start cutting again (soon), but you've lit a fire! :thumbsup:
Oh btw, weight's at 196 currently..

Yeah I'll go for it toward the end of the month bro. Been there before, but it's been quite awhile and it wasn't a true legal bench then; that's what I'm after now.
 
Rather rough weekend. I had a couple of my junior guys from my division get into some serious trouble. After dealing with all that, I still managed to have some good workouts.

Bench Press(5 sets 315x8, 345x6, 365x5, 405x2, 315 x 6) tried 425 after the 405 but just missed it. I'll get it in 4 weeks.

DB Rows(2 sets x 10,10)
Seated DB Press(3 sets x 8,8,8)

wanted to film the 405 bench but the camera was not set up right so we just ended up with 2 pics. I was a lil down about it but I was not going to let it slow my progress.

Whats up everyone? Its been a hectic week and I have not posted but I have been hitting the gym as normal. I may be changing my schedule again. I hear that I may be working and eveneing shift for my remaining time on this ship. If that is the case, i will wake up at 6:30 a.m. get the kids off to school, eat and then hit the gym in the a.m. work from 2 p.m.-10 p.m. come home rest and hit it again.


Today(Heavy/Upper) fast paced because partner had a kids basketball game to get to. It was more like Heavy workout/HIT Cardio.
