Retain Has A Methyl Group In It,, Is It Just As Toxic On The Liver As Taking Superdrol ?
 
I Read In Some Threads That Not All Methyls Are Toxic On The Liver,, Just Wanted To Make Sure.,,

welllll, techinically it is hormonal, correct me if im wrong...but isnt cortisol a hormone:study: ...But, its non toxic and thats all that matters.:icon_lol:

Hey, C-Los. I was trying to look around for you. What is the exact reasoning, if you will for taking PP/SD with fish oils, there is sort of a discussion about it in this thread...Invalid Link Removed

Yes, quite important to take with your omegas/fish oils. Let me read most of your 22 pages..lol..I'll get back to you on your thread tomorrow morning with more detail.

Oh..Yeah that isn't my log, just some dudes..Me and another guy were just trying to tell him you should take PP/SD with omegas/fish oils because of the solubility..

Cortisol is a hormone, but the product in Retain is not cortisol.. ;)

If that were the case, it would be a corticoid, which wouldn't let you "retain" much of anything but fat and water weight.. Ask anyone using a corticosteroid like prednisone..

17b-MbaET is androstenetriol or similar, has protein sparing/ anticatabolic properties, part of which is keeping cortisol levels normal.. :cool:

6Oxo is actually 3,6,Androstenetrione.. Custom and nutraplanet sell the powders.. ;)

It's the triol isomer with a methylation at the 17b position..

Wait, so 17a-methyl bAET is the triol isomer with a methylation at the 17b position??? Do you know if the 17a methyl bAET has a similar effect on libido like the 3,6 androstenetriol in 6oxo??

The reason I asked is because I am currently taking Rebound XT and Retain for PCT on an Ergomax/prostanny cycle, with ActivaTe following 2 weeks from now once natty test is jacked up. When I've taken RXT in the past it's killed my libido, but the last couple of nights I've just been horny as hell. Does the active in Retain have something to do with that?
 
activate for sure does. I've heard cortisol reduces test levels so an anti cortisol would see higher test levels which would mean more libido.

It's the ActivaTe, the free test is doing the magic.. ;)

My fault, I don't have the bottle infront of me but Retain is 17alpha MbAET.. I'll have to run it again for longer, might have better results..

LOL!! Sorry, I should have been clearer. I haven't started ActivaTe yet, not for another 2 weeks. Reason being is that I am coming off of a cycle, therefore I am somewhat suppressed. No sense in using ActivaTe if there isn't much natural test being produced to free up. Therefore, I'll be running Rebound XT to jack up my natty test levels. Then, once they are high, I will incorporate the ActivaTe for 4 weeks. So RXT and Retain are being run weeks 1-4, ActivaTe weeks 2-6. Sooo...the libido boost can't be from activaTe as I haven't touched it yet.

I interpreted what you had said ealier as you saying that the 17a Methyl-bAET is similar to the active in 6-oxo, thus this is why I'm experiencing the increase in libido. Was I wrong??
 
17a MbAET is different from 6Oxo since it's a triol, not a trione.. The methylation changes the products action, since it's also steroidal in nature (structure, not effect).. The libido is from the Rebound, going too high can give a reverse reaction so be aware.. ;)
 
BigPeteFox (or anyone that has used these)- do you feel Retain works as well PCT as the oral 7-OH products that are already out? What about dermal 7-oxo? Ive never used the oral cortisol reducers only the topical 7-oxo which seemed to work fairly well. thanks for the info.

That's the only cortisol control type product I've used, so I have nothing to base it on.. I was on Impact Ultra a month ago, maybe that but I didn't feel any different on that either..

No, but I got weird heart palpitations and had to stop after 2 weeks. They went away as soon as I stopped.
If I recall correctly Rob (designer) had the same experience.
 
haha i started getting the heart palpitations about 3 weeks into it.. i stopped for a week and they still continued. Weird thing is, it would happen at the same times of the day, mainly as soon as it was dark. (weird huh). Anyways i love how hard and dry it makes u feel so i jumped back on it today :)

Not to high Jack this thread.. But I have a question... What exactly are you talking about when you mention PH..( Isnt that a form of acid or something like that ??) I honestly do not know.. I was asking my wife who is a dental hygenist, and she said she thought it was a form of acid.. Anyway, I am trying to learn about this and gather some info... So from what I am reading, you need some form of PH ( Whatever that is ) and I am guessing that is to help break down the fish oil ?? Sorry if This sounds dumb to some of you, But I cannot figure it out by just reading what I have read..

ROFL... nah bro its def not heart burn. Its palpitations. It will suddenly skip a beat or double up on beats. Realllly weird feeling, kinda startling but you get over it after a while. It also happened when i used to have very bad anxiety and panic attacks. Not fun

Hey Stinger124, not trying to be an a**, but how did you get your points and rep power? Judging by your previous posts, all you have been doing is asking questions. Its nothing wrong with asking questions, its just that your posts doesn't match your points.
 
I don't know... I came here to ask question and to try to learn.. I do not worry about Rep power, and all that stuff..
Maybe once I figure out everything I need to know.. I will worry about all that then.. I guess you could talk to one of the Moderator, or admins about it.. Hell, they can take all that stuuf away as far as I am concerned... I will be the first to tell anyone.. Don't ask for advise from me.. I am still a newbie .. And I have said that from day one.. I do not try to be someone I am not... by offering boggus info that is not true or that could hurt someone..

I will just stick to reading and asking questions...

No, when I type it in, it says no matches.. Its ok.. I have an idea what it is, and I saw what you wrote.. But still in the dark exactly what it is... There are a buttload of abbreivations on here that I need to learn..
I will figure it out sooner or later..

Ok... So PH means Pro-Hormone.... I need to make a donation to the board so I can send PM's... That way , I don't have to bother everyone with what most of you think is a stupid question... But I do thank you for your patience with me..

Now... Pro- Hormone meaning what exactly ? I have a wild guess, but not sure I want to throw it out there to get laughed at..

Ok, I typed in Pro-Hormone in the search area , and all I kept getting was things about hormones.. Nothing about Pro Hormones.. If someone finds somethingor knows a link to a post that will help me to figure this out, Just point me in that direction, and I will be happy to read up on it.. Meantime, I will keep looking..

Once again.. Sorry to Hijack your thread.. I to am taking retain at this time in my PCT... I will not make another post about this... , But hopefully someone will point me in the right direction..
 
Prohormones are synthetically manufactured compounds which convert to anabolic hormones via enzymes in the liver...hormone precursors.

Prohormone, steriods, potato, potatoe. All this s*** changes your chemical balance in your body so I really doesn't matter what you call it. But since we are being so technical here, a steriod is any of numerous naturally occurring or synthetic fat-soluble organic compounds having as a basis 17 carbon atoms arranged in four rings and including the sterols and bile acids, adrenal and sex hormones, certain natural drugs such as digitalis compounds, and the precursors of certain vitamins. So in a way chicken breasts are steriods too. Refer to the previous post for the definition of pro hormone.

No, its cool man. I just try to keep it kind of low key about certains things, but we have some people that like to scream "hey that's a form of illegal steriod but its still kind of legal because they found out a way to change the chemical bond to a certain compound." That's the sort of thing that draws the unnecessary attention that we already have. Just one more statment for the prosecutor to have in their defense when they go to court or congress, or better yet when a writer can come on here and say " Yup that what is it, because this guy said it right here point blank on this forum. At least have some kind of smoke screen up when you talk about things like this. That's all I'm saying.
