I did legs today and had a great workout! I did leg press, smith lunges, single leg ext drop sets, sissy squats, single leg SLDL, single leg presses foot high on plate, seated curls, standing calves, sled calves, outer thigh, glute mach and 30 mins on the step mill. I was one sweaty mess when I was done.just the way I like it..lol. just over 5 weeks away and still feeling pretty good! I cant belive that the show is that close. I getting really nervous and excited at the same time. I had a posing lesson on sat and it was a great help. Im going to go a few more times before the show and Im also practicing nightly at home.
 
Keep up the good work Renee, you're in great spirits it seems and apparently still having crushfests in the gym! Rooting for you over hear and wish you the best of luck in the rest of your prep. Congrats on the kiddos first day of school, I am sure that was a big day in the Renee household.

Im trying my hardest to stay stress free and positive! I have had a few bad days and have had a few "freak outs" but Im doing my part and doing all that I can like all my cardio, training, sticking to the diet, making sure my posing is on point so when I step on that stage regardless of where I place atleast I know I did everything possible and will have no regrets!

The first day of school went great! It was harder for me than them...lol.

yesterday was a cardio only day. I did 20 intervals on the bike followed by a 40 min cooldown. I also threw in some abe too!

Today was back and chest. I have to admit this was a tough workout for me to get thru today. I felt like I was just going thru the motions today. I just couldnt seem to get into it as I was feeling a bit worn out. I guess its just one of those days but alteast I got it done!.I did rack chins, one arm db rows, wid pulldowns ss mach rows,close pulldowns ss close cable rows, hammer strenght high rows, mach pullovers, inc db press, flat press, peck deck.I plan on getting some extra rest tonight so that i can give my shoulder workout 110% tommorrow!

5 week out tommorrow.... OMG!!!

Sun- legs
Mon-cardio only

I have been still having pretty consistant workouts! My strength has only dropped slightly and I think mainly since Im really trying to "play it safe" and not injur myself this close. My energy is still pretty good considering I have been prepping for almost 15 weeks now. I do find around 5pm is when I start to shut down and somtimes it takes me a bit to get into the groove of my workouts but once I get going Im usually in the zone! I have never felt this good while prepping especially with only 4.5 weeks left. I hope that this contiues to show day.
Today I trained back and shoulders. I did pullups, braced rows, wide grip pulldowns, t-bar rows, hammer high rows, one arm db presses, db side lat, upright rows, rear peck deck, mach lat ss mach presses. I finished up on the elipitical and stretching.

Tommorrow is leg day and I cant wait! I dont have too many leg workouts left so I have to make each one count and leave knowing that I gave all that I could and nothing less!
 
So what is your current stack you are taking this close to show time? Making any changes to further drop fat and get continued recomp effects Renee? I am assuming you are doing something similart to the Asteroid stack and some Recreate as well...

Im still taking the Prime, powerfull, recreate, and also either Core Zap or jacked pre wo.I use AP on refeed days as these are the only days I get enough carbs to to use it. I also sometimes take a couple of Zap pre AM cardio if Im having a rough morning...lol

As far as changes in diet, cardio and training Im working with someone who decides that for me. I email him updates and he adjusts things as needed so I cant really say whats going to happen over the next few weeks.
 
I had a great leg workout today! I left it all on the gym floor! I was completly focused on the goal today and was in the zone. With only just about 4 weeks left its time to put everything I have into each workout.I want to know when I step on stage that no matter how I place that I gave this prep my all and I did the best that I could with no regrets.
I did leg presses, leg presses close stance, smith lunges, leg ext, sissy squats, one leg sldl, seated leg curl, pile squats, one leg presses with foot high on plate, inner thigh ss outer thigh ss glute mach, calf raises. I finished up with 30 mins on the arc trainier.

Just a great day overall!

Thursday I trained chest and tris and had a pretty decent workout. I did db in press, flat presses, cable flys, peck deck, inc mach presses, pushups, rope overhead ext, rope pushdowns, bench dips, reverse one arm pushdowns.

friday I trained back and bis. It was a high carb day so I was ready to go! I did palms facing pullups, db rows, pulldowns ss mach rows, close pulldowns ss cablerows, mach pullovers, hammer high rows, st cable curls, db hammer curls, mach preacher curls, ez bar curls. I finished up with a 30 min run on the treadmill.

Im eating my pre wo meal right now and gonna hit shoulders and some cardio in a bit. I also have another posing lesson this afternoon. I cant belive that there is only 4 weeks left! I cant wait!

Training is still going pretty well! My strength has only dropped slightly and my energy levels are still good. I feel really good for 3.5 weeks out. The only complaint is that I a bit hungary but that is to be expected. Nothing I cant handle though. im starting to see changes almost everyday! Im working really hard on my lower half(as with most women) is a really stubborn part for me and is always the last place to lean out. Im really confident that I will be my all time best reagardless of where I place though which is the main goal. Dont get me wrong though a trophy would be great but I really just want to beat the me of last year!

Today I have legs and Im going to give it all that I got as I dont have too many more leg days before the show so I have to make each one count!
 
Tear it up today and everyday from here on out Renee. You have worked so hard to get here and we are all pushing and pulling for you!

oh boy, just under 3 weeks out now! Im getting really nervous but excited too!I cant believe how fast the time is going by. I have been so busy with trying to get all my workouts, cardio, posing practice along with doing all my mom stuff that I hardly get a chance to get on here anymore. everything is still going good! getting everything in one way or another.. I have made alot of improvments in my legs from last year so im happy with that as that was one of the main comments I got for feedback last year was my legs need to be leaner. I still have work to do on them of course and they could be leaner but I know for sure that I will come in better than last year so ill take that as that is my ultamite goal!

My strength and energy levels are still upthere which is so shocking to me. This time last year I was like a zombie througout the day almost everyday and felt so drained and weak. This year I have only had a few days where I have felt like that. I just hopes it keeps up for the next 3 weeks!

OMG!!! Two weeks left!!! I cant wait! Im so excited to hit the stage. I had some posing practice yesterday and I feel really confident with it! Im already at last years show weight too ! I have no doubt that I will be at my all time best for this show! I feel really good at this point and I just cant wait for the day to get here! My only problem right now is my new suit might end up being too big for me... go figure...lol. Thank god that I have a back up just in case.

I have more cardio to finish up today and will hit arms and more cardio tommorrow.

well, Im ten days out today!!! Im seeing changes in my body almost everyday now.Its amazing!! My only complaint right now is im HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. I cant wait to eat!! Like I have said before I will be at MY all time best and that is all im focusing on right now me beating me. Im not going to worry about who is going to be there and where I might place as it will do me no good. Im just going to keep on doing what im doing and no stresssing!!

Well, tommorrow is the big day!!!! I have worked so hard for the past 4 months and Im ready to show 'em what I got!!. I feel that I have done all that I could to get me to this point. Im at my all time best and that is what is most important and the ultimate goal. So Im trying to stay stress free and just have fun tommorrow. Wish me luck!!
 
I just wanted to give a quick update. I got 3rd in the open and 5th in the masters. Im soooo happy! I reached both goals that I had set to look better than last year and to be place higher than last year in the open. this is the first year I did master and it was a very tough class of 12 girls and I also didnt peak for this class as I wanted to peak for open which was after the masters so I basically just pumped up a bit and that was it for that class. I couldnt be any happier right now!!!

Ill post more later since I want t go EAT!!!!!!

Glad to have been reading all along, sorry i didnt post more actively but you better believe it helped motivate my fat *ss when i didnt feel like doing jack.

But i am seriously just blown away by this log and how you accomplished your goals!!
 
Well, It looks like I might be going for round two! I think im going to jump into another show on Oct 31st. I just want to see if I can come in a bit better this time around as Ifeel there are a few things that I could have done a bit differently and I was so nervous for some reason that my posing was off and that also effected how I looked. So for now im training like im going to do the show but will make the final descion by the weekend as the show is on Hallwoween and that would mean I wouldnt be able to take my kids trick or treating. even though they said they were fine with nana taking them out Im not sure if im ok with it.So we shall se what happen and like I said will make the final call this weekend. Ill keep ya posted!

I dont have any pics from the show yet as Im waiting for my friend who took all the pics to upload them on a disk for me and I dont have the professional shots yet. but I will post a few from a couple days out. please exuse the messy backround as I was getting things ready to go away and these were taken after I got home from working out so i a mess too...lol

I still have work to do and still need to impove on my lower half(which is quite stubborn for me) but I am moving in the right direction as I am in better condition than last year. I cant wait for the offseason to begin so that I can begin working on improving and also finially use prime, powerfull, and AP and see what kind of results I can get while not contest dieting since I have only used this combo during a prep. Cant wiat! Now I just have to decied when that offseason is going to begin...lol
 
back to back competitions...that nuts
 
I competed yesterday in the NGA Granite state open and I placed 1st in the figure open class. There was only one class so that also meant I won the overall figure title

Im so excited I cant even put it into words!! I have busted my a$$ since May with dieting, training, and double cardios and this makes it all worth it! now im finally ready to enter my offseason and cant wait to make some improvments which are to lean out my glutes and hams more(which is my weakest spot). I also need to add more width to my back and size on my shoulders. Not sure exactly what my show plans will be for next year. The earlist I will compete will be next fall and possibly not till the spring of 2011. There is pleanty of time to decide that though.


I want to thank USPlabs for making such great supplements. They definitly helped me this contest prep and Im looking foward to finially be able PRIME and powerfull in my offeseson as I have only used it while dieting. I Cant wiat to see what results I can get! I will probably start an offeseseaon journal as well as it helps keep me accountable.

Congrats Renee! It is great news hearing that you won your competition; you deserve a much needed break and some big meals :). Keep us posted on your plans, been enjoyable reading about your progress and is an excellent motivator as well.
